Amercican-style Pancakes at Mr. Cheney

Hi, dear Hivers

I was born in the United States and even though we moved to Venezuela when I was 6, I was old enough to remeber some smells and tastes. Pancakes and cookies are among my favorite memories.

So, when we passed by this place and I smelled the frangrance of American breakfast, I could not resist.

Mr Cheney is a cool cookie house that that just opened, a week ago, I believe, and also offers the most delicious pancakes.

I loved the decoration and the friendly attention.

I may come back for the coffee.

I loved the heart-shaped butter.

Maple syrup. It had been so long since I last tasted one like this one, or like the one I used to eat in the US.

I should try making the American style of pancake one of these days because it looks yummy, here in Nigeria we add peppers, onions, etc so it is quite different.

Really? Wow! That sounds like a lunch 😁
Do you use wheat flour?

You can use any flour.
The same process, just add less milk and pepper, onion, and a few other spices depending on your taste.

It is actually eaten as breakfast and not lunch crazy enough.
