The scars of a dictatorship || Las cicatrices de una dictadura.
I am from Venezuela. I am 26 years old, and I have lived 20 years of dictatorship. A dictatorship that affects us every day.
Yes! Today Venezuela is suffering a terrible crisis, that country that was once an oil exporter, rich in agriculture and livestock.
I still remember when foods such as powdered milk started to disappear, I also remember the famous phrase Expropriated! Ending up with big companies that contributed a lot to our country.
Tired of the situation, I decided to attend the protests called in my state.
The hope and the desire to fight were united in the streets where all the people attended with a smile on their faces.
But this environment did not last long as we were attacked by police and armed groups attached to the government.
Currently I continue fighting and betting on my country.
And although sometimes my hopes are scarce I still dream of a different Venezuela, full of opportunities, where it is not necessary to emigrate.

Soy de Venezuela. Tengo 26 años y he vivido 20 años de dictadura. Una dictadura que nos afecta todos los días.
¡Sí! Hoy Venezuela está sufriendo una terrible crisis, ese país que una vez fue exportador de petróleo, rico en agricultura y ganadería.
Aún recuerdo cuando alimentos como la leche en polvo empezaron a desaparecer, también recuerdo la famosa frase ¡Expropiado! Terminando con grandes empresas que contribuyeron mucho a nuestro país.
Cansada de la situación, decidí asistir a las protestas convocadas en mi estado.
La esperanza y el deseo de luchar se unieron en las calles donde toda la gente asistió con una sonrisa en sus rostros.
Pero este ambiente no duró mucho tiempo ya que fuimos atacados por la policía y los grupos armados adeptos al gobierno.
Actualmente sigo luchando y apostando por mi país.
Y aunque a veces mis esperanzas son escasas, sigo soñando con una Venezuela diferente, llena de oportunidades, donde no sea necesario emigrar.
