I think, most of you know what kind of photography I like most ... tell me,

what's better than being outdoors, listening and watching the world waking up?

Today I have done something that I haven't done in quite a while: editing photos with ACDC in my ears - these photos have been waiting to be edited since September 2020, when I took them during a morning walk at the reservoir. Thunderstruck helped a lot to finally like them enough to open them in Photoshop :)

The two photos above show the view across the reservoir towards north (yes, they are two different photos ;). The lake was completely clear and the autumnal mist covered the farm fields between the trees on the northern shore of the lake and the hills behind.

Later I switched to Rammstein because I need to prepare myself for the new work week. This week is going to be very "interesting", to say it nicely ... wished it was already over ;)

At the end of my morning walk at the reservoir, I have found this small flower which was full of little dew drops and looked beautiful like a gem, but I have no idea what kind of flower this is ... I didn't even look, to be honest ;)

I would like to end today's post with the photo of this little flower and I hope that you enjoyed my pictures somewhat again. If not, I can still blame ACDC :) lol

All photos were taken with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4 L IS USM, Canon EF 50mm 1:1.8 L STM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C.
If you are interested in the image data, I leave all EXIF and IPTC information stored in the pictures.

Ah, the Pink flower is easy to ID Hannes, it is a (Pinkeous dewdropideus) 🤣
Great to work with music in one's ears but at times it can bring back so many memories that makes one think that one is young again.
The problem is that when I get up from the chair, everything creaks and groans and my feeling of youth disappears like mist before the rising sun 😎

I have googled that name and Google has found nothing - Google finds always at least something, but there was no result for this flower name 🤣 LOL

When I sit at the computer I have to stretch my neck every now and then - you should hear the bones in my neck spine crunching 😁

Well, I have to admit that my Latin has become a bit rusty just like my toenails my friend.
So, I must have done a few misspellings every here and there 😜

Hahaha, at times I have to feel around to discover if I still have a neck 🤣
It is so good to go through life with music, as it is a great stress reliever.
It also keeps one in a melodious mood, but please don't start singing aloud with the tunes in the office, as I think that they might send for an ambulance 🤣

Good morning Zac,

since I have never learned Latin I can't tell if something's right or wrong ... I only know "ora et labora"and "in vino veritas" 🤣

Till a couple of minutes ago I didn't even have the time to take the player out of my bag, but I think I'll do it now, because it's quiet in the office at the moment, and I need something loud to be able to concentrate on my work 😎 So, if my boss comes in he might as well go again, because I certainly won't hear him 🤣🤣🤣 and I won't sing, because you might be right with the ambulance ... ;)

So, I can tell you, my week is quite interesting ... it's going to be full of work and I hope to find a few minutes in between every day, just like now 😊

What I know about Latin is dangerous and your Latin effort sounds like "You shall work" and "You shall drink" 😜

I hope that you had a great rocking time in the office listening to the music and also glad that you didn't start singing a sad love song out loud 🤣

Quite interesting sounds like a lot of work, so let's see how it goes and I hope that the new helper will catch on quickly.
Don't worry about mistakes my friend at times when I glance at my replies I can only laugh at myself.

Yep, I have got a lot to do anyway, and now I am a teacher and a babysitter too, because before I told our workers dierctly what to do and now I can only hope that she tell them what I tell her and that I get the correct feedback ... 🤔 ... I have been on the phone all morning long.

Time to answer here then we are out again, but will complete upon return.
You should do very well as a teacher and a baby sitter, as you have a double experience in those things and yeah one cannot do this with ear phones in, else you cannot hear the new baby crying 🤣

Just make sure that when you tell here that it's an apple, she doesn't go and tell the workers that it's a pear 🤣

I have seen the notice of your post "Alpenglow" here, but I don't like to pop there, post a silly quick reply, vote and then pop out again.

I think my earphones will stay in my ears this afternoon and I don't want to hear any small or big baby cry 🤣
This morning has told me once again that some people will never learn - I mean her and so many others too and there's nothing more to tell about this except that it sucks even more than the little virus.

I am greeting you with a real laugh this afternoon Hannes,

Hilarious to see the image of you walking around in the office, glass eyed like a zombie and screaming like a baby. Funny jacket stuff indeed and the government will spend billions to re-design all of their systems to prevent the "Piber virus" from happening to all of their otther workers.

20 new people will be employed to do your job and when you are released in a sane condition, you will have to train them all.
Soon there will be 21 zombie people walking around screaming like babies 🤣

I didn't have much mist when I was out this autumn and winter, but the winter isn't over yet. So I still have some time to take mysterious mist photos ... if I have time ;)

Wow those are amazing photos, what I like most? The sunrise and the flower, I wish I know how to perfectly edit photos I just take a shot and post maybe it would have been more attractive if I edit them a bit.

You're doing it the right way - there shouldn't be any editing needed, but I'm shooting in RAW, so I have to edit the RAW images and export the JPEG files. Of course, I enhance the colors and do some other editing if necessary. FYI I use Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to edit.

Beautiful sunrise over the lake. Amazing calm waters and beautiful scenery.
I am not big fan of AC/DC but I really like Rammstein. Feuer Frei and Rammstein are my favourite songs .

Since 6 in the morning I'm in the office and only now I have a few minutes to do something else - interesting, isn't it? But easier times will come back when a few projects are finished, and the time runs so much faster that way, so I see it positive :)))

I'm still at work, but in the evening it's easier and all in all it was a quite fine day.

We also have great weather at the moment - it's warm like in Spring, but I don't believe the Winter is over yet.

I love listening to Rammstein - the sound is great, the texts are mostly sh*t, but sometimes funny and you don't have to take them too serious. "Sonne" is also great, thanks, but because I don't like to be in small tunnels or mines under the ground I can't be one of the dwarfs - and I'm a few inches to tall 😂

Work ethics have changed...

... that's true, but not really on my side. It's more the selfishness, the not planning enough and the careless behaviour of the others that makes my work life hard and joyless.

Yes, family is the most important thing that keeps me still thinking positive 😃 even if my kids would tell me about their problems 😉 but at the moment both are happy and a little bit in love 😻

After working for years, travel, change happening more demands placed on one, you do entertain thoughts about time of being able to do as you wish.

Family time always important, listening closely for change in children. They too are facing things we never considered being obstacles, glad to hear all are happy, that is one thing to enjoy.

Yes I went to look at the wine situation this afternoon, still have not resolved so some time soon, when I have time again.

Somehow one needs to think back to how we reacted at the children ages now, then take into account how much has changed, then try be on the look out to assist them.

Growing up we are head strong with ideas and ideology around us, growing older one wishes it was yesteryear 😌.

Now we don't ask permission to drink !BEER we limit ourselves!

I always try to think back how I was and how I behaved ... if my son does stupid things, and he does some from time to time, I mostly can't be angry, because thinking back I know I have done the same 😉

Good to remember how we reacted at that age, my poor Mom I always told her I was "experimenting/experiencing life", her reaction was warranted, most times telling me off. Dad was more calm and told us some of his misgivings when young, I adopted his attitude having two boys and think I got better results from his approach 😁

I tell my kids many things I have done, also stupid things and hope they learn from my mistakes, but some things I can't tell, of course 😎

I have spent a few hive on !WINE at https://wine-ico.github.io/ - now I can give up to three per day ... and quite some !BEER because I was one of the first buyers and it was cheap 😁

Always love what you do with editing your photos i especially love the wet look on that little flower i am a fan of any photo with water droplets on them but that one photo is superb 👍

All in all I do not much editing, although it can take some time sometimes. I mostly try to enhance the colours which are already there and make the image look like what I have seen 😉

I agree in enhancing the colours in what you have really seen is some thing i don't mind doing either but i try not to make it look to over done to spoil it.

You know i love water droplet photos am looking forward to a bit of rain to practice on this a little more but you know , i can always go and water my garden and practice this...lol 😆

Right, I also try to not overdo the editing.

I prefer morning dew to rain. I also have a little spray bottle which does a nice job, but I mostly forget it at home 😉

Yep, many macro photographers use such a bottle if there's no natural dew on the flowers 😉

We all deserve a lazy weekend now and then , i am due for one of them real soon we have been quite busy at work lately which is a good thing am catching up with things and putting a bit of money aside for my next big get away later this year if all goes well with these vaccines.

We had flights and accommodation booked last October for Phuket islands in Thailand but we able to reschedule everything for October this year hopefully it will all go ahead this year...fingers crossed 👍

The way things are going with Thailand and in what they are saying i do think this trip will be a go ahead really can't wait to explore them islands Phi Phi island is suppose to be spectacular in what i have seen and read.

The sunrise over the mountain and the reservoir creates a very magnificent view. The reflection of the sun on the water is really gorgeous. The mist over the trees is amazing. The small flower with a lot of little dew drops looks like a gem, I totally agree with you. Great capture! 🤩
