My version of chop suey with smoked pork sausage
I love stir-fried vegetables with those touches of Asian flavors. A good chop suey, any time of day, can brighten up life. At home, it's common to prepare stir-fried vegetables or chop suey, either as a main dish or as a side dish. This time, I want to present you with a fairly simple recipe but full of flavor, so find the ingredients, put on your apron and start cooking.
Ingredients
- 1/2 large white cabbage
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium pepper.
- 1 smoked pork sausage (80gr approximately)
- Soy sauce C/N
- 1 tablespoon of ajinomoto
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- C/N salt
Note: Ajinomoto is a kind of Chinese salt, it brings and enhances the flavor of the food. If you do not get ajinomoto, you can use garlic in small quantities to simulate the taste a little. The soy sauce I used is brought directly from China, is more concentrated than usual and loaded with a lot of flavor. Ajinomoto and soy sauce can be purchased at Chinese food stores
Preparation
- Chop the vegetables into strips and place them in a pan with the soy sauce and ajinomoto. Bring to a high heat.
- Let the vegetables release their own water and add the vinegar with the sugar.
- Add the chorizo cut into squares, add to the preparation and test the level of salt. If necessary, add normal salt to adjust the taste.
- Cook until the carrot is soft.
- Serve at your preference.
