Recently the Hive.vote introduced the weekly limit which would change things for curators who are hardly here, thing is, I don't know the other intents of introducing the weekly limitations but I feel it'll curb the excessive abuse of auto vote. Thing is, hive.vote and steem.auto has been instrumental for the growth of many other authors but maybe it's time we reschuffle, take a peek into our auto votes and something differently.

Yesterday @robertandrew wrote about what makes giant curating bodies on the gem community consider a content upvote worthy and well from all the comment section I think quality is hardly it. Truth is, I think people who engage, create quality and reckon with the community and add value deserves support irrespective of who they are and when I look at this move by hive.vote it seems like going back to the drawing board, limiting ostentatiousity and making it easier to balance the way the rewards are let out on the chain.

Mind you, I'm a complete idiot when it comes to the technical aspect of how the chain works, but there's this psychological equality that comes with being limited to how much you can collect mind you, no one deserves anything no matter who they are. However in the case of hive some people use to decide to bring external value and add in and that's why they deserve what they get because they've decided to invest into a cause, hence.

However with auto vote limitation, we'd have consequences as well as advantages too. Truth is one of the biggest advantage would be limiting to those who take more and giving to those who have less, or this could totally not happen. Truth is sometimes when we decides to shuffle things we'd be suprise as to why we're doing some things and why we are not. I believe the limit might restore some form of limitations which would be go and then these remnant of resources might go to maybe more manual curation.

However what do I know? I've visited my auto site hive.vote and adjusted a whole lot and I think if you set hive.vote then you should too. Thing is, I've spent about an hour changing the weekly limits and adding some more authors and removing other redundancies as well. Cheers to the new era and things are definitely about to change with this limits but well we live through change irrespective of how it might affect us.

It's interesting how people just assume people want to do manual Curation. Not everyone does, which is why automation is key in this digital Era. Some people just want to earn their passive income in the background as they support their fave creators. This limitations, though done with good intentions, may backfire. I do like the idea though, will adjust mine later...

Just because this large stake holders aren't active doesn't mean they don't check in. I doubt anyone would fail to check in on their 1000's of dollars of investment.

Thing is, we can't be all wrong or right about this, o just think it's time the big investors come in and reschuffle a few things. It gets baddest before it becomes better, I feel the hive.vote owner has good intentions. Thing is, this will affect us all but with time the guys who aren't always present will come in and adjusted things when they learn of this change. In in all I believe this will help some good authors like you and I get better votes when reschuffllings are done

It's hard to say bro but I hope the changes are for the good and protection of the image of the community.
