THE TERMINAL’S COOKBOOK CHALLENGE: WEEK 3 - BREADS

In this Week 3 of the Redfish Rally, I continue my participation in the Terminal's Cookbook Challenge in the Breads category. Not being a baker, I always find quick and easy recipes to accomplish my tasks.

I'm preparing the garlic spread for french style or other types of bread to make garlic bread that I love. My recipe is short and simple.

Either I'll purchase a loaf of french bread, or just plain hogie sandwich loaves. Any type of bread will do. And wheat bread is the most healthiest for you.

En esta semana 3 del Redfish Rally, continúo mi participación en el Terminal Cookbook Challenge en la categoría de Panes. Al no ser panadero, siempre encuentro recetas rápidas y fáciles para realizar mis tareas.

Estoy preparando la salsa de ajo para el estilo francés u otros tipos de pan para hacer pan de ajo que me encanta. Mi receta es corta y simple.

O compraré una hogaza de pan francés, o simplemente hogazas de pan de cerdo. Cualquier tipo de pan servirá. Y el pan de trigo es el más saludable para ti.

Aquí está mi pan de ajo terminado:

Below, I'll show you how I accomplished it in 15 minutes.

A continuación, te mostraré cómo lo logré en 15 minutos.

My ingredients:

1 French, loaf, or regular sandwich bread slices
1/2 cup butter or margarine
( I like "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter")
2 tbls. chopped parsley
(or your favorite jar brand will suffice)
4- 5 cloves garlic, peeled
Sea Salt, to taste
Black Pepper, to taste if you'd like
Paprika

Mis ingredientes:
1 rebanadas de pan francés, hogaza o sándwich regular
1/2 taza de mantequilla o margarina
(Me gusta "No puedo creer que no sea mantequilla")
2 cucharadas perejil picado
(o su marca de jarra favorita será suficiente)
4-5 dientes de ajo, pelados
Sal marina, al gusto
Pimienta negra, al gusto si quieres
Pimenton

Start by preheating oven to 400 deg.

Meanwhile, slice the bread in half and place on a baking sheet. Use aluminum foil if you'd like.

Comience por precalentar el horno a 400 grados.

Mientras tanto, corte el pan por la mitad y colóquelo en una bandeja para hornear. Use papel de aluminio si lo desea.

Next, in a food processor, mix butter, garlic, and parsley until well blended. Add salt and pepper.

Luego, en un procesador de alimentos, mezcle la mantequilla, el ajo y el perejil hasta que estén bien mezclados. Agrega sal y pimienta.

When well blended, spoon garlic spread from blender and place in a small container if not using it all.

Spread the garlic spread mixture on both sides of the bread if using a loaf. If single slices, just spread on as many pieces you intend to bake.

Cuando esté bien mezclado, vierta el ajo untado de la licuadora y colóquelo en un recipiente pequeño si no lo está usando todo.

Extienda la mezcla de ajo para untar en ambos lados del pan si usa una barra de pan. Si se trata de rebanadas individuales, simplemente extiéndalas en la cantidad de piezas que desee hornear.

Bake in oven for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until bread crisps around the edges.

Remove from oven.

Hornee en el horno durante unos 5 a 10 minutos, o hasta que el pan se dore por los bordes.

Retirar del horno.

Transfer to a plate. While still warm, sprinkle paprika on top if you'd like.

The final product...warm and delicious garlic bread. I could just eat it by itself if I don't have my salad already prepared!

For a variety: Substitute 1 tblsp. Italian herbs to the butter before processing. After baking, you can sprinkle with lemon pepper.

Transferencia a un plato. Mientras aún está caliente, espolvorea el pimentón encima si quieres.

El producto final ... cálido y delicioso pan de ajo. ¡Podría comerlo solo si no tengo mi ensalada ya preparada!

Para una variedad: Sustituir 1 cucharada. Hierbas italianas a la mantequilla antes del procesamiento. Después de hornear, puede espolvorear con pimienta de limón.
