A walk around a small estate in east London ( Poplar) part 2
Hello everyone good morning ๐ค๐พ
Here's a few photographs I took a few days ago while walking around a small old estate in east London my uncle aunt and cousin's lived around this estate
It brings back a lot of memories walking around here as not much has changed
Here's another photograph I took I was heading down the stairs I captured this amazing photo of the staircase it's like going back in time
It looks exactly the same as it did 20 + year's ago
Here's another photograph I took of the staircase
Here's a photograph i took at the bottom of the block
Here's another photograph I took at the bottom of the block of flats
This is a really nice old block of flats ok that's your lot for now I've still got loads more photographs to share from this walk around a little beautiful old estate in east London
I really enjoy walking around places that mean something to me and this place definitely does I spent a lot of time around here when I was a lot younger and it's not changed around here it's like going back in time

So nice they have to have security gates on the front door! I well remember staircases like that in the 70's they smelt of urine. When I was working in The City 76/77 I was going to rent a flat in Silvertown. The Council was renting them out at a ridiculous rent of about ยฃ15 a week (I think?). Trouble was, the front door was a solid steel plate as was the door surround and every flat was burgled at least once a month. LOL Those were the days.
Love your walkabouts though.
Thanks yes they don't make staircases like this anymore
there was no smell of unrine
You must have seen some big changes from 77 silver town is not to far from me
I think I might go for a walk around there in a few weeks maybe sooner if I have the time I know 15 pound is not a lot now but it must have been a whole lot back then
That must have been crazy flat's getting broken into like that
I'm si happy that you like my walkarounds
