White-eyes - Birding / Wildlife
The white-eyes are small passerine birds and are mostly found in tropical and subtropical forests. They are very common in Margalla Hills, Islamabad. Even they are found in urban areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The white circle around their eye makes them very unique and beautiful. In China and some other countries, they are also considered as cage birds. In Pakistan, they enjoy liberty and are found everywhere, and mostly they travel into flocks.
White-eyes are mostly found in parks and gardens in Islamabad. They are commonly seen sitting on fruit trees. They are very active during the early morning. These birds are very acrobatic. I saw a flock of White-eyes eating some fruit on a tree. They were doing every kind of stunt to grab fruit, hanging upside down.
Once traveling to Kallar Kahar I saw a nest of White-eyes on the Loquat tree. They were busy building a nest and hatching eggs. I was lucky to photograph some shots of this activity. White-eyes make their nest on low branches and must have some water source near them.
They are very fond of taking bath. In Margalla Hills, Islamabad, I saw this bird taking bath on trail 5 stream. They are mostly accompanied by bulbul. They are tiny in size so to take a photograph of them we must try to go closer.
Sharing some random pictures of White-eyes. I took these pictures in all over Pakistan. They are very cute so every photographer must take their photo.

A very beautiful bright bird. Yellow-green is one of my favorite colors.
