Hello everyone! With this post I participate in the creative hive contest promoted by my appreciated @zord189, I am very encouraged with the theme of this week's round and is that I have a traveler side.

This pandemic year has seemed like a century to me, this is really a quarantine. But well when it comes to travel for me anything goes and if it is by road much better, so pa' Maracaibo I'm going.

Hola todo el mundo!! Con este post participo en el concurso creativo hive promocionado por mi apreciado @zord189, estoy muy animada con el tema de la ronda de esta semana y es que tengo un lado viajero.
Este año de pandemia me ha parecido un siglo, esto es realmente una cuarentena. Pero bueno cuando se trata de viajar para mi todo se vale y si es por carretera mucho mejor, así que pa' Maracaibo me voy.

As you can see in the picture I am on my way to Maracaibo, capital of the state of Zulia, the land where I was born, I am accompanied by my husband and my two daughters. I like driving very much, I am good at driving our truck, besides, as a lawyer I respect and know the rules of the road.

I live in Caracas the capital of Venezuela, the distance by road between Caracas and Maracaibo is 8 hours, we take a little longer to enjoy the beautiful landscapes that are on our route. And we make a stop at Los Medanos de Coro National Park in the state of Falcon.

The Médanos de Coro, are a spectacle of nature that always shows a different landscape, according to the movements of the wind each day.

Como pueden ver en la imagen estoy en camino, voy a Maracaibo, capital del estado Zulia la tierra que me vio nacer, me acompañan mi esposo y mis dos hijas. Me gusta mucho manejar soy buena conduciendo nuestra camioneta, además como abogada respeto y conozco las normas de transito terrestre.

Resido en Caracas la capital de Venezuela, la distancia por carretera entre Caracas y Maracaibo son 8 horas, nosotros tardamos un poco más para poder disfrutar de los bellos paisajes que hay en nuestra ruta. Y hacemos una parada en el Parque Nacional Los Médanos de Coro en el estado Falcón.

Los Médanos de Coro, son un espectáculo de la naturaleza que siempre muestra un paisaje diferente, según los movimientos del viento cada día.

After enjoying a fun time in the Médanos de Coro, we continued our route and there we found the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, also locally called Bridge over the Lake. To get to Maracaibo, you have to cross this bridge that crosses the narrowest part of Lake Maracaibo and connects the city of San Francisco with the rest of the country.

Lugo de disfrutar un rato divertido en los Médanos de Coro, seguimos nuestra ruta y allí nos encontramos con el Puente General Rafael Urdaneta, también llamado localmente Puente sobre el Lago. Para llegar a Maracaibo, hay que cruzar este puente que cruza la parte más angosta del lago de Maracaibo y conecta la ciudad de San Francisco con el resto del país.

And so we cross the bridge over the lake full of excitement we meet with the family and there begins a total enjoyment of my beloved Maracaibo.

Our religion is catholic and they instilled in me the devotion to Mary under the invocation of our Virgin of Chiquinquira, patron saint of the people of Zulia. Whenever I visit Maracaibo I go to worship my Chinita.

Y así cruzamos el Puente sobre el Lago llenos de emoción nos reunimos con la familia y allí empieza un disfrute total de mi amada Maracaibo.

Nuestra religión es la católica y me inculcaron la devoción a María bajo la advocación de nuestra Virgen de Chiquinquirá, patrona de los zulianos. Siempre que visito Maracaibo asisto a rendirle culto a mi Chinita.

The Vereda del Lago Park or Paseo del Lago, is another of my favorite places to walk with my family. It is the largest park in the city of Maracaibo. Its name is due to the long and beautiful road that connects to Lake Maracaibo and where you can see the Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, as well as the different boats that travel along it.

El Parque Vereda del Lago o Paseo del Lago, es otro de mis lugares favoritos para pasear en familia. Es el parque más grande de la ciudad de Maracaibo. Su nombre se debe a la larga y hermosa vía que conecta con el Lago de Maracaibo y donde se puede ver el puente Rafael Urdaneta, así como las diferentes embarcaciones que lo recorren.

Here is my mom and my 8 siblings. And the girls having fun at their grandmother's house (my mom).

Aquí les presento a mi mamá y a mis 8 hermanos. Y las niñas divirtiéndose en casa de su abuela (Mi mamá)

After a few days of total relaxation, eating delicious food and enjoying being able to hug again my mom, brothers, nephews and the whole family, without remembering the existence of the Covid. We return to Caracas enjoying the pleasant experience of traveling by road.

Y Luego de unos días de total relax, comiendo rico y disfrutando de poder abrazar nuevamente a mi Mamá, hermanos, sobrinos y a toda la familia, sin recordar la existencia del Covid. Volvemos a Caracas disfrutando la grata experiencia de viajar por carretera.

Well I say goodbye to everyone and a thousand thanks to @zord189 for inviting us to travel by road. For me traveling by road is a way to get in touch and relate directly with the local communities. It is a gratifying experience that modifies the way we see and understand the places we visit, it is to feel the road and the kilometers traveled, to contemplate the changes in altitude, relief and vegetation, to feel the thermal differences between one landscape and another, the fragrances that the wind brings us, the rain hitting the windshield or that which falls in the distance on the fields.

Bueno me despido de todos y mil gracias a @zord189 por invitarnos a viajar por carretera. Para mí viajar por carretera es un modo de entrar en contacto y relacionarse directamente con las comunidades locales. Es una experiencia gratificante que modifica la manera de ver y entender los lugares que visitamos, es sentir el camino y los kilómetros recorridos, contemplar los cambios de altitud, relieve y vegetación, sentir las diferencias térmicas entre un paisaje y otro, las fragancias que nos trae el viento, la lluvia golpeando el parabrisas o la que cae en la distancia sobre los campos.

Hasta la próxima semana mis queridos hivers, donde de seguro @zord189 nos sorprenderá con un nuevo tema para el concurso creativo hive. Chaito!
