An ordinary afternoon in the shoemaker's workshop in the company of an extraordinary girl

A few months ago, while I was in Bogotá, I started working in a shoe shop. In that shop I met a girl with whom I had excellent ties both with her and her family while she worked in the shop.

Kariannys was the name of this girl Yaracuyana, she and her family like me came from Venezuela and we were in Bogota to know another reality, another country situation to which we were already accustomed to live.

She came to work at the workshop one Saturday morning while I was on my day off. I was the cutter's apprentice and she was the planter, responsible for packing the correct pairs of shoes made at the workshop.

Friendship is a precious gift

Making faces with Kariannys was a lot of fun

While we were on our lunch break we decided to take some selfies and capture the moment for a lifetime, it was a lot of fun since a lot of people were looking at us and making faces at us too.

Our working day was about 10 hours a day sometimes from Monday to Monday, it was an extremely exploitative and strong work because we had to work quickly and in a very good way which sometimes was a little complicated because the dynamics in the workshop was very stressful.

We became very good work colleagues during the time she was there working. Then we both left that workshop and worked in different workshops, sometimes we agreed to have lunch together and share a nice time as we used to do usually in the old workshop.
