Satla Beel: The Kingdom of Water Lily
The kingdom of Water Lily just the mater of distance if you live in Bangladesh and if you live in Barishal district then it would be just close to your house! A beautiful morning we went to Satla Beel and we had be there before Sunrise as after Sunrise you won’t able to see many flower. You would find flowers from Jun to November when every Beel (lake) turns into deep shade pink as you won’t able to see the water due to hundreds and thousands of Lilies but, they started to bloom from March it raining early.
The best time to watch the lilies is Dawn to 8am and it is really accessible to be there. This is an ideal place to go for day tour and there is a Bazar nearby where you would able to have delicious sweets and of course fresh fish and vegetables in the morning. Besides Satla Beel there are few more beel around there at Nayakandi, Patibari and Kalbira where you would able to see the same lilies.
