HOW TO BUY SACRIFICE ANIMAL For MarketFriday

(Edited)

It might be something a throwback #marketfriday. What important is that today I would like to share how to buy livestock like goats or sheep.

At this moment we are now in a month of Hajj base on Hijra calendar. Muslims will be fasting before the Arafah Day which falls on Hajj 9. The 10th day will be the Eid of Sacrifice. Those who can afford to buy a sacrificed animal, they must buy sheep or lamb or even cow and camel according to their capabilities. The sacrificed animal must be in good shape and healthy. You could not offer a sick or blind lamb. This is the yearly tradition of the real Muslims.

This place is only for the livestock market every Tuesday. There is a big open place in the desert for livestock bargaining. We can do buy and sell and we could earn if you already know the system.

The sheep and goats are freely moving while the buyer and the shepherd are talking the price

They are all healthy and well threatened by the shepherd.

When nobody buys the animal, they passed by in front of our house.

After we bought the sheep, we pay an authorized slaughtermen and brought the meat at home for distribution.

It will be hung for 20 minutes to drain the excess blood from the meat.

All the meat will be given to all the p or people. Like for example the beggar. Most of the time we slaughter 2 animals, one goat, and one lamb. The goat will be for us and the sacrificed animal will be equally divided.

This is my share being a poor person.

Why is it that sacrificed animal is necessary for the Muslims?

My Indonesian friend told me that it is obligatory to give sacrifice from the earning or blessings you had been received for the whole life. You can do it once only if you are poor. If you have more than enough, you can give it yearly.

And it will be done during the month of Hajj after the day of Arafat. On the first day of the month of Hajj, people are flocking together performing pilgrimage in Mecca specifically in the mount of Arafat.

In my own observation, base on Christianity, it is the way of giving thanks for all the blessings. Like for example, if we have a salary, we are required to give back 10% to the Lord by giving it to the needy people or in a church community.

That is all about my #marketfriday update. This is a throwback #marketfriday for @dswigle since we are not allowed to go to a crowded place with some animals or livestock.

See you on my next review and I hope you feel interested in reading it today.

I happen to be reading this on ThrowbackThursday! How about that?

This was very interesting to me, as a Catholic by faith, I was never involving in the sacrificing of animals. If the animal isn't sold, then the person brings them back home, or does he try to sell them at different places?

When they are fasting during this time, do they only eat at sunset? Or how is it that the fasting takes place?

I could see that some of the goats had a red or blue spot painted on the back of them. Do you know what this means? This was a most interesting read as I know only a little about the culture, so your posts are always a great wealth of knowledge for me. Thank you!

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday! There are so many challenges here on Hive and it warms my heart to see that you chose to be a part of this one. I have always wondered about this time of sacrifice, so I am very glad you wrote it. It is people such as yourself that made it into such a successful challenge! It takes a lot of effort and thoughts to put together a post for the #MarketFriday challenge. I know this first-hand and so, again, it is appreciated. Thank you again for being a part of all this!

Welcome and thank you for the nice words you said.

During Hajj, Muslims flock to Mecca for a religious pulgrim. It is one of the five pillars of Islam. Every Muslims has to give sacrifice animal if you have the financial capacity. Going to Mecca on.pilgrim is so
expensive. But rich people will refer sponsorship to the people who want to do so.
Then the sponsor will buy animals for the people.

About fasting, when the sunrise come at 6 am, we must eat the food and drink water before 6. Then we could eat again after the sunset. 12 hours without food and water. We are free to eat the whole night.

Tomorrow we will be slaughtering two animals and give to all the needy.

Anyway here is the
