HOW I MADE A LOVELY BLUE PANT TROUSER.
A beautiful morning to you all, this morning I will be sharing with you how i made a lovely blue pant trouser using irish material. Below are the process of how i got it done.
MATERIALS USED
- Fabric ( irish material)
- Waist band
- Paper stay
- Hair stay
- Zip
- Thread
MEASURING AND CUTTING PROCESS
Taking measurements for pant trouser, the following should be considered: waist, lap, crotch, knee and length. Once all these are achieved then we can cut our fabrics.
I cut this particular cloth using these measurements
- Waist 34
- Lap 26
- Crotch 11
- Knee 18
- Length 40
I folded the materials into 2, making a straight line then start the measurement proper.
Measured the waist i.e waist divided by 4 plus 1, then the crotch 11, the lap was divided by 2, the knee point is gotten by dividing the length by 2 plus 2, then length with 2 inches allowance.
SEWING PROCESS
Firstly I fixed the side pockets
Then I proceeds to fixing of the zip.
---..
Thereafter I fixed the back pockets, i made the pocket size 5 inches, moving 3 inches away from the side to take measurements.
After that has been done, i joined the back to the front and fixed the band adding belt holes and waist band closing the zip then i joined the angle up to the lap
Then i ironed it very well folding the allowances added to the length and sew.
