HOW I MADE A SENATOR STYLE WITH PLEAT DESIGN.
Good morning everyone and happy new month. I will be sharing with you my latest design which is called Senator style.
This design is commonly worn in southern Nigeria in West Africa.
I will take you through the cutting and sewing process. It's very simple and you can also give it a trial.
MATERIALS USED
- Fabric ( cashmere)
- Hair stay
- Collar stay
- Thread
- Paper stay
- Buttons
CUTTING PROCESS
The first thing to do is to take the measurements. After measurement has been taken then you can start cutting the fabric.
SEWING PROCESS
For the sewing process, I folded the allowances added to the length and sew as usual, then I created the pleat to be added to the shoulder, ironed and fixed it.
- Then I joined the shoulders together, tape the neck and fixed the chest collar.
- Next I added a two mouth fake pocket to make it more beautiful.
- Thereafter I fixed the placket, joined the sleeve, close the sleet and fixed the curve.
FINAL LOOK
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Have a blessed month.
