"Lock Down" Day #1

There is a "lockdown" in my island (Bali) from July the 3rd to the 20th 2021. There are two islands currently on "lock down", i.e. Java and Bali. These two islands are separated by about 60 kms strait.

Well, it is not actually a complete lock down, it's a restriction to people activity. Some of the non essential government buildings are closed. The school, which is planned to be open soon, close again. The shops and markets only open for short period.

In between towns, there are police and people who are in charge of checking to make sure that people entering town can show letter that they have been vaccinated. So, we just stay in our home and don't leave the town.

I rode my bike around my town, and then to the village near the sea. I'd like to know how's the situation. Staying only at home make me feel uneasy. So here are some photos I took during the first day of the "lockdown".

I started riding through the town. To my surprise, there were still some people outside. I saw many people in a supermarket, and traffic on the road. I also passed a temple which was closed, and a basket ball court and a field which had not so many people there.

Next, I rode through the village the to beach.

The villages were a bit more quiet. And the beach did not have many visitors as usual during the normal day. Still there were quite a number of people I met in the beach.

That's all my story for today. Thanks for visiting.
