owls ar-nuovo
12 years ago I visited Moscow (I slightly remember, 2009 or 2011 was the last time I have been there) -- to meet a few of my old friends. And also we spent a day with my new friend; she showed me a few places that, she thought, I may be intrested in, to see and to shoot. (At the time my wife and me had obsession with such architectural follies, as 'mascarones'. The weather didnt smile at us that day, but still I managed to take some pictures. This miraculously modern-decorated building was located near the Arbat street. Images were taken with Canon 350D +50mm 1.4 - the only lens was in my posession at the time (except of the cheap kit one, ofc).

...and owls were another obsession passion of my wife. Well, still they still are.

the stairs have owls, too! otherwise, I would not bother to take these pics. hehe. 12 years ago I already cured off my digital disease and wasnt taking pics of anything I pass by, for making later the goldmining-posts at the blockchain that will make us all billionairs. or maybe not :)

ps. speaking seriously -- owls always have been an emblem of wisdom and knowledge, which is why architects in the past (in classical times, before the 20th century) often placed owls as decoration to the profitable houses, where the corresponding tenants (for example, professors) were supposed to rent their flats. or when a house' was ordered by a professor, a bookseller, etc - any representative of the field... in a wide framework.
That's why they always use owls for logos in educational programs.
I also have a great love for owls and I think that you might have seen my photos of live wild owls in the past on my blog.
Over here we call them birds of wisdom, but some people kill them as they fear witchcraft Lol.

no, I dont remember these pictres in your blog. sadly. owls are beautiful, especially alive! I never saw one in the wild, not saying about taking the pics. we mostly were after the artificial ones, the owl motiffs in architecture etc. and thanks for stopping by!
