Grocery shopping in this Corona period! | My Market Friday!
We are in the red zone. That means every week they are 30 or more than 30 new cases of COVID-19 positive. And, this is just the 'official' number the actual number is more than that. As you can understand, the situation is not on our side. But we have to live and survive. And grocery shopping is a must needed thing.*
My country is still not that digital. We can't get to order everything online. Also, online stores don't have every product in their stock and you will question their delivery services too. So we have to physically visit the store. Fortunately, they are different shopping malls and Super Shops available near my living place. So just yesterday, I visited one of the nearest super shops for some grocery shopping.
This place is huge. I mean you can buy almost every single product you need; from cooking to cleaning, from raw Products to readymade food items, almost everything. This is a very neat and clean place and the stop's employees are really very concerned about health and hygiene. The price of the products are a little bit more than other local shops, but I would not mind paying more for this environment.
I usually do my shopping in this place. But during this pandemic, I was trying to order everything online. But you know, one of the trusted online shops stopped delivering frozen meat and fish items, so I have to go to the super shop to buy those products. Also online Market is out of some of the baby products and food items to so there was no other option actually. But this environment games me a positive feeling.
I usually do take some time to choose what items I'm gonna buy, what alternatives they have ie. But this time as you can understand I was in a hurry to finish the shopping as soon as I can. I only took like less than 30 minutes. Also, as I left my son with his Dad and he really wanted to come with me so I tried to return home early.

Is it just your town that is in the Red Zone? I am sorry that you are in the middle of it all. Every place starts slowly with online ordering. When they started here, it was very little, and overnight, it boomed. I am sure that is what will happen there.
The store that you went to is exceptionally clean and very well organized. That is exactly how I like it. If it is affordable, by all means, I want the sanitary option. I usually take a little time to shop and lately, I have my list and make a quick run-through. I am really buying less and using my ingredients wisely. I hope to continue in this more efficient manner.
I am glad your son didn't have to wait too long for his mother. It is funny how kids become so attached to their mothers. I love it. :) A wonderful entry! I appreciate your work to put it together!

I am sorry to hear that, truly I am. It is a scary situation, especially with your family. Somehow, when it is only you, it doesn't feel as bad, but, involve a child and other members and suddenly it is a different story.
You appear to be keeping such good habits and following the precautions. I think it is the only thing you can do. I hope you got a fair amount of supplies so you don't have to be going out for a while.

You said it very correct. It's really very stressful. I'm trying to order online and go outside less often. Because after coming back home & cleaning myself properly, still it doesn't give me a good feeling.

Well, makes sure you are wearing gloves then and also never bring your purse in the stores. There is no real way to clean them (to me) I only use a credit card as I don't want to pass money or get money back. I put the food separate for a few days in another room where nobody touches it, and the fresh foods I wash when I get home. It is so hard to keep everything so sanitary. Even my mail! I put it in a box for a few days away from where we are. I never open my mail right away anymore.
