XPS Foam build - Castle Entrence Bridge [ Part 1 ]

(Edited)

Focusing on the same thing too much is bad for my creativity. I need to work on different material to feel free. In my previous post I took a break from Zbrush Digital sculpting and made a 2D painting. Now I want to touch what I do. Since I like medieval times and fantasy I wanted to make a castle diaroma for tabletop games. Today I went to buy sheet of XPS to work with. Here is some progress shots.

I have a foam cutting machine ( hot wire table ) but its in the office where I work. I am making another machine based on the same electronics with my own design. Because of it I do not have the machine with me so I use a knife only. Its harder to deal with straight edges and details but it is possible. Since I am experienced in working with xps foam i can do most of the things the hot wire table can.

Material used:

Wood repair paste ( For filling the gaps )
XPS Foam
Utility knife
Hot silicone glue
Barbecue skewers ( For stabilization )

See you next part. I'll share the progress with you.
