Thinking, Speaking, Then Acting

Inventions are conceived in the thought and expressed with words to prove their validity, but your thoughts and words must agree with your actions if your ideas must produce positively. No matter how big your thoughts are, no matter how finesse your words are, it is not a substitute for right actions. Remember that words and thoughts do not fulfill themselves until they are backed up by actions.

Many ideas have disappeared without being fulfilled, not because they are not potent or good but because the actions needed to bring them to accomplishment were lacking. Action is the access route to seeing ideas fulfilled. You can dream all you want, you can speak about it for as long as you want, but to see them fulfilled, you have to put them to work.

What your words do to your thoughts is to prove that you believe what you have thought. This is because the more you speak, the more your strong belief in the efficacy of the idea is established. However, if your words cannot spur you to actions, then the words are almost futile. It is worthy to note that people are not interested in your noise but in your news. So to make news, you have to have results to show for it and results are functions of works.

Imagine someone that is looking for an employment but all he does is to confess it with his mouth, will he ever find his dream job? There is nothing wrong in confessing for a good job but after that, you need to go all out and submit your application letter and your curriculum vitae. This shows that you are ready to convert your thoughts into results.

Just to let you know that you do not have the entire time in the whole world to waste on only thinking and talking. If you do not put actions in the ideas you conceived today, a time may come when the idea will lose its significance and it may become obsolete. Example: A time will come when the idea that centers on the manual way of doing things will be replaced by automation.

One thing that proves the potency of an idea is action. As you are dreaming big, also make provisions for the steps to take. It is not a must to wait to start big, just start the action from where you are and keep putting in actions towards your ideas. It is the collection of small steps that makes a mile. Whatever happens, just keep putting in actions.

Waiting for a time called "perfect" to start; you may wait till infinity. Start now and it will become a perfect time for you. Do not look down on how small you have started, many great innovations started the same way.

Thanks for reading

Peace on y'all

Oh well ... it's nice to read your inspiring writing again Sammi :)
And coincidence or not, the very idea underlying this post is one of the things I've been contemplating lately. Right after I came across this quote, on a philosophy book my husband gave me recently.

Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.

The quote is by Bruce Lee, and introduces a series of philosophical concepts that we all know about but when comes to put them in practice things slow down a bit :D :P. An idea that can pretty much summarized by your rationale:

However, if your words cannot spur you to actions, then the words are almost futile.

Take care Sammi.
Much love ... always :*

I feel so happy to see you again on my post dear Abbey.

The quote you referenced from Bruce Lee is so insightful and full of messages. I think it summaries the whole post.

Thanks a lot dearest Abbey. It is an honour to have you back.

Much love from Sunny Naija 💖
