Since it was time for spring cleaning, I did this a few weeks ago. And in an old, dusty woodshed next to my mom’s house, I came across a surprise. 😎
In the corner, among a variety of old trash, I found an old motorcycle owned by my late father.

This so-called Pony Express was a very popular city motorcycle in the 1970s. At that time, it was manufactured by the ROG bicycle factory for the whole of Yugoslavia. Now the factory is long gone, in fact they only deal in bicycles.

When I was still in elementary school about 40 years ago, I remember how my father used to drive to work with it. I don't remember the motorcycle later. I thought he sold it somewhere and I forgot about it. Veteran. At the age of 45-48 years.

Of course, it was neglected and in a non-driving condition. An acquaintance who is a mechanic helped me with the repair. We had to disassemble the engine, the two-stroke Puch E50, replace the piston, bearings and seals, clean the carburetor and replace some other parts. I might as well repaint it later.

And now it works nicely. I only have one more challenge - it needs to be homologated - for which I need proof of ownership ... which I don’t have ... I don’t have invoices as proof that my father bought it.
Then I have to do a technical inspection and register it. Sometimes it wasn’t necessary, but now it is. Ufff ... about 200 € extra cost ...

I will try to get some document based on the A-test sticker that each motorbike got at the time of purchase. If they have it anywhere in any archive.😞 😞 😓

In short, the challenges facing me and this veteran. 😎

Does that even make sense? I don't know ... I'll see ... I'd like to keep it in memory of my father, but on the other hand, for that money, it's already possible to get an electric bike with similar capabilities, which is much more environmentally friendly .... maybe I'll sell it to someone a veteran enthusiast, or donated to a technical museum.
Everything is still open 😎 .
