012 / 100 : Quin And The Pumpkin Seeds

Hello creative community,

Oh boy 12 sounds like a big number to me that is actually a dozen. Yes, I made a dozen drawings already for the 100 Days Of Drawing Challenge
That is already an accomplishment. Did I beat the artist block? I hope so.

This is Quin an independent and resilient quail. She manages her own small farm and plants anything that is in season. She sells her harvest to the local folks and keeps the seeds for the next season. David the duck ordered some pumpkin seeds from her and he needs them before the Halloween. Quin, the nimble quail wasted no time. She grabbed the pumpkin seeds from her small silo put them inside her bag and hurriedly run. On her way she kept thinking about her delivery and the time she was not aware that the seeds are falling off her bag one seed at a time as she hop and skip Yippity yappity yap Hope you like my drawing and her little story.

Here is how I made this cutie little quail:

I should not miss that feather protruding on top of her head. I turned it into an embellishment for her cap

I think she needs some leg warmers one detail that I should not forget as I finalise the line drawing

She doesn't have a name until I chose this royal blue color for her coat fit for royalties like a queen. Quin finally has a name

For the finishing touches, I added the shadows and highlights.

Practice helps us get better each time we try. That is the aim of
