Have a nice day! Today I will show interesting works in the patchwork technique. This is such a technique of sewing things from scraps of very different fabrics.

Usually, the pieces are first connected to each other in small blocks in the form of different geometric shapes, and then all sorts of compositions and drawings are made from them. Someone even sews blankets in the patchwork technique, curtains, capes for chairs, needle beds, rugs and much more...

And once our great-grandmothers used this type of needlework out of economy. In the old days, old worn clothes were given a second life in this way.

Each craftswoman comes up with an original composition for her product, selects the colors and necessary scraps, and the result is a real picture, panel or even a rug :-)

I will tell you that this work requires patience. Sometimes you can't sew all these scraps in a week. And some people make teapots, toys, and even doll houses out of ordinary scraps.

And patchwork helps many people get rid of routine and create a home comfort with their own hands.

Imagine how long it took to sew all these feathers. I certainly wouldn't have had the patience :-)

You can teach children to needlework and creativity just on such a patchwork sewing technique.

Looking at such products, you are surprised by the fantasies of craftsmen and their ingenuity. What you will not find at the fair...
