Do you know how to weave cloth before? What did hand looms and spinning wheels look like in the old days?

Often, on woven products, there could also be an ornament with the text of Proverbs, sayings, or even prayers.

And today, many Cossacks still use special machines and such homemade devices.

Although it was not so easy to work on them, since you were not used to it, you can immediately ask the master. You will be shown and explained in detail, there would be a desire to learn : -)

Many families used to have a spinning wheel. Young girls themselves wove, spun their own dowries, embroidered dresses and tablecloths, towels and towels for the holidays.

Many craftswomen were able to work and so. They attached special plaques to their belts and wove various ornaments for their outfits in this way.

Belts were made long, their ends were often decorated with magnificent tassels, decorated with beads, glass beads, balls-guns.

Plank weaving is a technique that has been developed all over the world, but in Kuban it has received a special development.

Historically, tablets could be made not only of wood, but also of bone, animal horns, metal, as it was in ancient Scandinavia. Some peoples even used shells or fragments of pottery.

It was not an easy task to carve such plates thin enough, so the sets mainly consisted of 2-3 dozen. Accordingly, the braid was narrow.

The most common technique for fabric production on a horizontal machine is remiznaya. In it, colored threads alternate in a certain order, which allows you to create patterns with simple geometric lines. This technique was most often used to decorate towels, tablecloths, or women's petticoats.

Before the wedding, brides often arranged exhibitions of their dowry, which was supposed to indicate the skill and hard work of a particular girl.

For such mats and now craftswomen make special devices, thanks to which products are woven quickly and efficiently.

It is not difficult to make them. All you need is a wooden base and a couple of dozen pegs, on which any yarn is then wound.

Nowadays, interest in weaving does not fade, and even specially organize groups for those who want to learn needlework.
