Is it possible to run landscape photography in the territory of Prague? / Je možné provozovat krajinou fotografii na území Prahy?

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and is known mainly for its history and the number of monuments that have been preserved in this city from various stages of history. But today I will show you that Prague is not only the city center, but also very interesting nature, which is located mainly on the outskirts of the city.

Praha je hlavní město České republiky a je známá především díky své historii a množství památek, které se v tomto městě dochovali z různých etap historie. Ale dnes Vám ukážu, že Praha není jen centrum města, ale i velmi zajímavá příroda, které se nachází především na okrajích města.

In the southernmost part of the city there is a valley called Břežanské údolí. Very interesting forests can be found on both sides. Today we look to the south side, on which lies the Nature Reserve called Šance, named after the Celtic fortified settlement, which stood on top of the hill.

V nejjižnější části města se nachází údolí s názvem Břežanské údolí. Na obou jecho stranách lze nalézt velmi zajímavé lesy. Dnes se podíváme do strany jižní na které se rozkládá Přírodní rezervace s názvem Šance, pojmenováno podle Keltského hradiště, které zde stálo na vrcholu kopce.

The entire southern slope is of rocky origin and therefore thermophilic and mountain plants grow here. A large number of insect species live here, including the largest Czech beetle, the Stag Beetle (Lucanus cervus). The whole forest is made up of 90% low-grow oaks, sometimes you will see a pine tree or a rowan.

Celý jižní svah je skalního původu a tudíž zde rostou teplomilné a horské rostliny. Žije zde velký počet druhů hmyzu, včeteně největšího českého brouka Roháče Obecného (Lucanus cervus). Celý les tvoří z 90% duby nízkého vzrůstu, občas uvitíte borovici, nebo jeřáb.

There are also several rocky views of the valley. One of them is also dedicated to the Prague entomologist Franz Anton Nickerl, who first explored these slopes in the 19th century.

Je zde i několik skalních vyhlídek na údolí. Jedna z nich je věnována i pražskéhu entomologovy Franz Anton Nickerl, který tyto svahy poprvé zkoumal v 19. století.

You can find oaks here in various stages of development. From seedlings, through young trees, trees for which I do not dare to estimate age due to the conditions in which they grow. But a colleague at work told me that he was here 45 years ago and that the trees still look the same to him. So some may be as old as 100 years and yet they seem to have been growing here for about 15 years.

Duby zde můžete najít v rúzných fázích vývoje. Od semenáčků, přes mladé stromky, stromy u kterých si netroufnu odhadnout stáří díky podmínkám ve kterých rostou. Ale kolega v práci mi říkal, že zde byl před 45 lety a stromy mu připadají pořád stejné. Takže některé mohou mít i 100 let a přitom vypadají, že zde rostou tak 15 let.

From a photographic point of view, this is very difficult terrain to take a picture. I come here several times a year for several years. And I always have trouble finding interesting compositions. It was about 30 visits that I finally began to see the beauty of this landscape and was able to convert it from 2D space. The best time to visit the photos is May and then autumn when the local heathers bloom.

Z fotografického hlediska je toto velmi náročný terén na pořízení snímku. Chodím sem několik let několikrát do roka. A pokaždé mám problém najít zajímavé kompozice. Teprve po 30 návštěvě jsem konečně začal vidět krásu této krajiny a dokázal ji převést od 2D prostoru. Nejlepší období na návštevu za fotografiemi je květen a pak na podzim kdy rozkvetou zdejší vřesy.

This area is just one of many different natural scenery that can be photographed i Prague. For example, there are steppe vegetation in Dívčí hrady, or the rocky Divoká Šárka, or deep valleys around many streams.

Tato oblast je jen jednou z mnoha různých přírodních scenérií, které lze fotit v Praze. Například další jsou stepní porosty na Dívčích hradech, nebo skalní Divoká Šárka, nebo hloboká údolí kolem mnoha potoků.
