¿Qué me empodera? / What empowers me?

Saber que soy hija de Dios / Knowing that I am a child of God

Aún si no crees en Dios, somos una creación única, que tuvo que haber sido diseñada desde el amor más grande que pueda existir. A alguien le debemos la vida, el lugar donde vivimos, la belleza que nos rodea, cada amanecer. El universo conocido es abundancia infinita, y nosotros somos parte de esa energía. Tenemos un mundo de posibilidades a nuestros pies y la libertad de tomar nuestras propias elecciones. Por si fuera poco, las mujeres tenemos el súper poder de ser madres, nos fue dotado el milagro de crear vida, así que quien nos creó debió haber visto algo especial en nosotras, jajaja. Todo esto es algo que definitivamente me hace sentir empoderada.

Even if you don't believe in God, we are a unique creation, which had to be designed from the greatest love that can exist. To someone we owe our life, the place where we live, the beauty that surrounds us, every sunrise. The known universe is infinite abundance, and we are part of that energy. We have a world of possibilities at our feet and the freedom to make our own choices. As if that weren't enough, women have the super power to be mothers, we were gifted with the miracle of creating life, so whoever created us must have seen something special in us, hahaha. All of this is something that definitely makes me feel empowered.

Ser una persona de bien / Being a good person

Los seres humanos al nacer, somos tan indefensos, muchos tenemos la bendición de una infancia segura, otros no tanto. Aún así, pasa el tiempo, vamos creciendo y superando obstáculos, hasta llegar a ser hombres y mujeres, capaces de tomar la rienda de nuestras vidas. Paradójicamente, no todos quienes tienen un buen hogar llegan a ser buenas personas y de manera análoga, no todos quienes tuvieron una infancia trágica o difícil, son malas personas. Allí se deja ver un ingrediente indefinible, esa parte de ti, que te hace quien eres, que no se puede programar, predecir o instalar. Entonces, al decidir ser un hombre o mujer de bien, avanzaste otro paso, superando a quienes no tuvieron la fortaleza de hacerlo. En este mundo, lo común es el caos y no es fácil sobrevivir a él con tu alma íntegra. Poder dormir en las noches plácidamente y con la conciencia tranquila, lo considero una conquista.

At birth, we human beings are so helpless, many of us are blessed with a secure childhood, others not so much. Still, time passes, we grow and overcome obstacles, until we become men and women, capable of taking charge of our lives. Paradoxically, not all those who have a good home become good people and similarly, not all those who had a tragic or difficult childhood are bad people. There you can see an indefinable ingredient, that part of you that makes you who you are, that cannot be programmed, predicted or installed. So, by deciding to be a good man or woman, you took another step forward, overcoming those who did not have the strength to do so. In this world, chaos is common and it is not easy to survive it with your soul intact. To be able to sleep at night placidly and with a clear conscience, I consider it a conquest.

Alcanzar mis metas, una a una / Achieving my goals, one by one

Cada victoria es un logro, cada fracaso, un aprendizaje. Aprender a avanzar en medio de este escenario, es sin duda una muestra de lo que somos capaces de hacer. Mientras más esfuerzo imprimes para el logro de tus objetivos, más fuerte y capaz te haces y aprendes a permanecer menos tiempo en suelo, tras una caída. Estar en el sitio donde estoy hoy, me hace sentir empoderada.

Every victory is an achievement, every failure, an apprenticeship. Learning to move forward in the midst of this scenario is undoubtedly a sign of what we are capable of doing. The more effort you put into achieving your goals, the stronger and more capable you become and the less time you spend on the ground after a fall. Being where I am today makes me feel empowered.

Tener un hogar impregnado de amor / Having a home steeped in love

Creo que formar familia y construir un hogar (no una casa), no es algo que podemos tener con sólo querer; pasaron más de 30 años antes de tener la dicha de comenzar a construir el mío y sé que no es por mérito propio, que es una bendición, una muestra más del amor de Dios. Soy la reina de mi hogar, la madre de una princesa y un príncipe, hermosos, que me colman de amor y cariño cada día. Tengo un esposo que me hace sentir la más divina de las musas ¿Quién podría no sentirse empoderada así?

I believe that forming a family and building a home (not a house), is not something we can have just by wanting to; it took more than 30 years before I had the joy of starting to build mine and I know that it is not on its own merit, that it is a blessing, another sign of God's love. I am the queen of my home, the mother of a princess and a prince, beautiful, who fill me with love and affection every day. I have a husband who makes me feel the most divine of muses. Who could not feel empowered like that?
