Beautiful Sunday: Walk in Prioratsky Park

Golden autumn has come in St. Petersburg. It is a very beautiful season. The leaves on the trees become multicolored and you can admire this holiday of nature endlessly.

I went to the city of Gatchina, which is located near St. Petersburg, the day before yesterday. Gatchina was the residence of Russian emperors in the XVIII - XIX centuries, the palace and park ensemble Gatchina - a grand monument of architecture and garden art. I walked through the parks of Gatchina and admired the beautiful landscapes.

It was hot and stuffy on a suburban train, so the lens got a little sweaty, and I did not immediately notice the problem. So the first photos turned out to be a little foggy. In fact, the weather was clear, sunny and the air absolutely transparent.

All these photos were taken in Prioryatsky Park. Prioryatsky Park is a landscape park in the southern part of the palace and park complex, it is located near the suburban train station Gatchina Warsawskaya.

Priory Palace was built in the late XVIIIth century on the shore of the Black Lake in the center of the park. Priory Palace has a very unusual history associated with the history of the Order of Malta in Russia. It was constructed for the Russian Grand Priory of the Order of St John.
