Alphabet Hunt Letter C

I have seen many others do posts for the #AlphabetHunt Letter challenge of Barbara @barbara-orenya, and I kept saying I must join but missed the first two weeks so I decided today I will join Week three with the Letter C and hopefully make this a regular thing for me as I do like both the person hosting the challenge who does such lovely photos and art and the challenge.

Let me start with a shot of this church in Downtown Milford St Peters Episcopal church

and now from our small city with a big heart to the big apple and Times Square and one of the big neon signs advertising Coca Cola, now I haven't given up Coca Cola completely but do limit myself won't these days I used to be terrible for drinking far too much of it.

And next up still in NYC some contrails and part of a circle Halo around the sun, this was digging deep into my archives this was taken a few years back when I shooting with a Pentax K200D

And still in NYC a Chef statue outside a restaurant that was been worn down with time and weather, this is also from a few years back taken with my next camera I had the Pentax K5

Thanks its not the best of shots but when I saw it I had to quickly snap a shot they can come and go so fats as was the case for that halo a minute later gone completely

Oh, this is interesting. I don't remember if I ever saw halo in the day, only at night, around moon

Field goal! There are so many stellar shots here, loving the rainbow and the view from here and, of course, the cable car! Who doesn't love that entire story?

The cat is cool as is the whole premise of this post!

Welcome to the #alphabetHunt dear JJ ! better late than never, and C is still in the top of the alphabet, so we still have plenty to enjoy together !
i enjoy your urban selection 😊 with the cable car that is a tramway in your big city when it is a lift in my mountains...LoL and the photo of the top buildings, contrails and halo is beautifuly graphic ...the rusty chain made me think of our other place Tsu, where Carien Van Hest had a channel for anything rusted, do you remember ..?

The only thing I had thought of were a church and a cat, but even though a Coca Cola bottle is standing 2 meters away from me I wouldn't have noticed that it begins with a C 😉
Great photos as always JJ, mission "C" successfully completed 👍

The halo is really cool. I have seen a similar thing once last year, but it was no circle - just like a rainbow like rectangle in the sky. If I can find the photo I will show it.

Good morning JJ,

I haven't even all photos together for C and you are already at D 😉
We had a first sunny and then rainy morning. Now it is cloudy and they say the sun will shine later - I'll see ;)
I went for a walk in the morning until it began to rain, but I got a few hopefully nice macro shots and after lunch I'll begin to edit the photos for the letter C, so my Sunday should be quite fine 🙂

Good morning or midday when you see this, its easier for me i am just digging through archives not taking new shots
glad you got a walk in this morning, we have decided once this cold spell passes to get out for morning walks on the beaches when it is quite there hopefully, will be with my wife so not sure if it will be a photo op but will be good to get out ;)

We have just had a late lunch, so good midday is fine ;)

The Summer is near, so it should not be cold much longer - a walk on the beach together with your wife will be wonderful anyway, with or without a photo 🙂

Our afternoon was a mix of sunshine and clouds and it is quite windy. The wind will probably bring bad weather tomorrow. So I'll also stay inside and accompany you 🙂

If it doesn't rain I'll try some more macro shots - the meadow I have been talking about the other day, which has surprisingly been mowed, was full of flowers today, but it rained.

It was dry and I have been there twice this morning, because when I got there first I noticed that I had forgotten the adapter to mount my macro lens to the camera. About 45 minutes later I arrived the second time at the reservoir and it started to rain ... what a begin of the day ;)
I didn't want to go home, so I decided to wait in the car and replied to a few comments until the rain stopped about half an hour later and I could finaly go for a walk 🙂
The field was full of flowers and yes, I could take a few flower photos 🙂 On my way back to the car it began to rain again and a couple of minutes later we had a little storm, but at this time I have already been sitting in my car 😉
If the weather forecast is right the sun will shine again on Wednesday or even later.

At least I have got some shots yesterday and today which I can edit while the weather is bad, but I hope your weather is better than ours and gets warmer 🙂

Ohh that must have been so frustrating when you noticed you didn't have the adapter and then the rain coming but good thing you waited and it cleared so you could get out for w walk and some shots

lets hope Wednesday you can get out and have an even more productive walk and shoot

I just heard the forecast and we have thunderstorms coming about midday so probably another quiet day indoors

right, here's your 6 o'clock weather update from Klagenfurt in Carinthia, Austria: it has been raining all night long, but a few minutes ago the rain stopped and the birds are singing. There are still gray clouds in the sky, so it might be raining again soon 🌧️

it has been raining here all day long and I have only been editing my photos from the past two days, but I don't think I'll make a post tonight.
When the sun shines there you might even be able to go outside or drive a bit around to keep the battery alive :)

I hope your day went well, mine not so much so went to pull the car out of the garage and engine light came on and it ras sounding so so bad, have city books into the local garage down the road tomorrow hoping its something simple

I'm sorry to hear that about your car. Hopefully the problem is a little one the garage can fix it today.

It's still gray outside and quite a bit colder, but if it stays dry I want to go somewhere in the afternoon.
Hopefully your car gets repaired and you can do today what you wanted to do yesterday: a walk on the beach :)

Yes I am hoping for the best, a chilly morning this morning 38F, but i heard in the weather forecast this morning says at the end of the week the temps will climb to the 70s and maybe even 80s so I am looking forward to that

Hi JJ,

our weather is mixed gray, rainy and somethimes the sun shines for a few minutes. I won't go out this afternoon, because my son has borrowed my car for a few minutes, which will take a few hours I'm sure ;)
I have enough to do anyway and maybe I'll make a post tonight ;)

Very good - your weather is getting better and warmer and you two will finally be able to go out into the fresh air and take a long walk on the beach. I hope your weather forecast is right.

A little walk is better than no walk - you have got some fresh air and that's good.

I think it will be about 10 pm when he gets home - it is as it is and we are slowly getting used of it ;) lol

I have realized that it's Wednesday today and I am so glad that your rules don't expect to do the walk really on a Wednesday - I would have had to lie ;) lol

Ohh yeah I agree was nice for the wife and I to get a walk and will get another one when we pick up the car, not sure when that will be as we haven't heard from the garage yet not sure if that's a good or bad sign time will tell

luckily we do not have any kids with us now so don't have to deal with that LOL

the is only one rule with Wednesday Walk, and that is have fun :)

That's right, if you have kids you need a car. I don't know what we would have done without a car.

Hopefully it's a good sign and they will just call you to go there and get your repaired car back.

Got the car back, they couldnt find anything wrong the system said it had been misfiring but it behaved well when they took it for a test drive, suggested it may need a good blow out may have been some crap in the petrol, we took it for a good drive out on the highway to blow it out and it was going great so fingers crossed

These are great news - even the car might not have liked to stay at home for so long. You have to take it for a drive more often I think or it gets rusty and lazy and makes strange noises ;)

yes i think thats the case, I think moving forward at least once a week were going to take it out on the highway and give it a good blow out, and then do our other beach drive by at least once or twice a week as well and hopefully the car will be happy

Oh wow, what a gamut of artistic photos! I love that photo of the circle rainbow halo around the sun and looking at the photo.. it was so real for me that it made me feel a bit dizzy, lol! Ah, okay, this is not what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be things that are shaped like the letter. My wife and I were going to do a collage of our last name one time. We got about fine pictures in and then we quit. These are some great shots!

I remember you mentioning that I did start a project a couple of years ago similar looking for letters or shapes of letters to do the whole alphabet, but I struggled finding them and gave it up :)
