Beautiful and sublime in the park

This is an entry for Beautiful Sunday By @ace108, and Sublime Sunday, created by @c0ff33a, and I will share a few shots taken on a walk in Eisenhower Park recently, I usually share 5 shots with a post, but only 3 in this post as with this virus still spreading I am being cautious about where and when I go out for walks, having Weak lungs and COPD and not being a youngster, plus with my wife having a weak immune system, I have to be sensible.

On the walk where I got these shots I saw some kids running around and playing in the park and one of them was coughing and wheezing away, I stayed well clear of them, but thinking about it later, I will go out when I need to, to say pick up essentials I will of course, but I have decided to curtail walks where there is a chance of bumping into people when I don't need to, which may be a little over-cautious but I don't want to put myself and therefore my wife at risk, so to make the photos I have last I may be sharing less with each post.

Now that intro is perhaps far from beautiful and sublime so let's get onto some photos

Starting with this patriotic bird house I saw in the park

Now some may not see this next shot as either sublime or beautiful but I though this growth onthe edge of a rock quite beautiful

and to finish off just a simple tree stump that caught my eye on the walk

And back to my thoughts on the Virus I thought I would share something I saw on Facebook or twitter the other day.

I SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE BEING LIKE ** I WOULD SURVIVE THE CORONAVIRUS. I AM TAKING MY CHANCES**

THE WAY I SEE IT, YEAH THEY MOST LIKELY WOULD SURVIVE IT. BUT THEY MIGHT CARRY IT TO SOMEONE WHO WOULDN'T. AMD THAT FOLKS IS THE PROBLEM

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Even with limited shots you shared some beauties! I am glad to see you're enjoying the outdoors, i bet the time moving in nature is very helpful to diffuse the stress of the situation. It can be difficult to continuously be vigilant so i wish you focus & determination to that end. Hopefully this crap blows over in a few weeks. Stay healthy!! ❤

I think that is a wise decision Jay. Staying healthy is more important than the photos. If you are like me you probably have tons of old ones you could share again.

They say Vitamin C kills the virus. There are cases in Wuhan where patients with severe respiratory problems due to COVID-19 were administered Vitamin C intravenously and were cured. Though the sample size is not enough to establish a medically accepted procedure, still it does make sense to load up on the C. Here in our country, aside from face masks and alcohol, people have started panic buying of ascorbic acid. There's now a scarcity and if a source can be found, prices have doubled or tripled plus quantity is rationed. I am now mega-dosing on the C taking 3 to 4,000 milligrams a day. My wife wants me to up it to 5 to 6,000 mg daily to boost the immune system. Remember, the virus affects those above 60 years old more severely than those younger.

Just some unsolicited advise. Now to go back to the topic on hand, great shots as usual. Love the tree stump pic. They say you can determine the age of the tree from the whorls or grooves of the tree stump which I am still trying to figure out how LOL.

I have read many of the stories going around about how to protect oneself from the virus, as you say none of them have been tested enough to be confirmed

And you point about it affecting those over 60 more severly, that is very true, but both my wife and I are over 60 and have health issues and thats why I am taking all the precautions i can

thanks for your thoughts :0 and yes the rings on a tree can tell its age, but I didnt take the time to count them LOL

Cheers and !BEER

just randomly i got thinking of these the other day

'Almost always grown as an ornamental for its brightly colored, orange husks (lanterns) which cover the fruit. ... The fruits are edible and suprisingly, are higher in vitamin C than lemons. Care should be taken though, as all other parts of the plant are poisonous. The plant also has a long history of medicinal uses.'

That's true, even if the virus would not harm you, you might infect your wife or your mother or anyone else.

You are doing the right thing by being cautious JJ, stay healthy 😊

Nevertheless the photos are beautiful - at first I thought that tree trunk was a smiley :)

I would be quite !DERANGED if I didn't give you a !BEER and a !COFFEEA for this $trdo post 😉

Something different and great here JJ.
We are at home for the next 30 days, as I have immunity problems and we cannot take any chances with this Covid thing as I am way over 60.
Blessings and take care!

Nice shots. I have heard that Vitamin D (sunlight) and fresh air are actually good things to get in you are indeed infected. Even though we are supposed to be socially distancing ourselves, getting out in nature by yourself is not a horrible thing.

Yes I agree getting out in nature is a good thing, I am still getting out for some fresh air, even if only out on the deck and the little back yard we have LOL
