Hamlin Crossing

For this post I will share a few shots taken on a stroll at Hamlin Crossing, a nice small little area managed by the Buzzards Bay Coalition which is a membership-supported nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration, protection, and sustainable use and enjoyment of our irreplaceable Bay and its watershed.
I have been to a few of the areas they have established or maintain

I have done a couple of posts with photos taken at Hamlin Crossing namely
Blossoms
and Baltimore Orioles
But realized I haven't shared any shots of the trails and beauty of this area so here goes

This first shot is of the field you cross to get to the trail

I have been here about 4 times now twice to sit and try and get shots of Birds and twice walking the trail, its not a long trail I think only 0.3 of a mile but so pleasant and refreshing

On the trails, the smell of the new spring growth and one can hear so many birds in the trees make it a lovely walk for me, and its only 5 Minutes from our Daughter in Laws Salon, so when Lulu is there its easy for me to do quick drive here and get some fresh air

Now the funny thing with this next photo is when I was preparing this post I noticed I had only edited 4 photos and I like to have at least 5 shots in a post so I looked through the shots I had not edited, and came across this one which didnt really appeal to me and I was thinking of seeing how it would look in B&W but as I edited it, I grew to really like this photo and kept it in color and its my favorite photo in this post

That said these photos do not really give the place justice, a photo cant catch the smell the sounds and the freshness of a place like this

and a last shot on the trails to finish off the post

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Soft greens, slow water trails make for ideal quiet walks taking in the moment.

The picture you were not sure of, actually gives a wonderful feel of sun breaking through onto muddy water with fuzzy green leaves breaking through, mood photography!

Have a wonderful day JJ.

This trail and the looks so naturally nice, not so cleaned up as many walking trails near towns. I like such areas much more because it's how a forest should be.
I think it was a good idea to leave this image in color because the bright green of the leaves comes into its own much better 😀

Birds are always posing nicely for me until I reach for my camera. Then they laugh and fly to the next tree 🤣
I wish you good luck today JJ 👍😃

Yep, listen to nature's music is something I also enjoy, and if I accidently manage to photograph some wildlife I'm even more happy :)
Have fun with the kids, my friend 😀

What a scene!
I can imagine the scent of freshness,
although it been more than a year that I have experienced such.
I hope to make it to the woods someday.

It was beautiful and I was the only one there making it even more special

That is beautiful! I love the wooded area and the lighting is gorgeous. What a nice walk that would be. The shot you didn't like? I actually like the foreground with the water with the wooded as a backdrop. I know you walk a lot so you know to check for ticks.

Its that time of year. Nasty little things.

What a beautiful area you moved to!

Yeah I am cautious watching for ticks always wears shoes and jeans not shorts but doing less wooded walks and trails this year not because of ticks just other things

I knew you would be, but, there are fewer ticks here this year which tends to make people put them out of their mind. Lyme Disease is one nasty disease or can be. Thanks and have a great day!
