Harvest Moon

On Thursday evening my wife and I went for a drive to get a few things and as we were out we spotted the full moon in the sky and I will share a few shots I got of it that evening, it had a nice orange glow from some angles and I think this full moon is called a Harvest Full Moon

While we were out I only had my 24-240 lens, well that was the longest lens i had with me so when I got back home i got out my 600MM lens for a few of these shots.

It gets its name Harvest Moon for being the closest full moon to the autumn equinox, which was traditionally around harvest time in the northern hemisphere

It is open of two full Moons in October this year the next one being on Halloween, which is kind of cool I think.

This next shot was when I was out with the shorter lens of the moon in the sky over some lights in the Marina in Fairhaven

does the full moon affect you?

I know it does me, I had a teacher at school who said I related to the original term on Lunatic in that people were moonstruck or affected by the cycle of the moon, both I and my wife Lulu feel the effects of the moon and have to give each other a little space as we get shall I say a little cranky LOL

I found this interesting piece on this site

There were clouds moving buy that night so I was for the most part waiting for clear shots of the moon but got this one with a little bit of cloud shadow on the moon

Hello @tattoodjay I think the lunar cycles affect us greatly.
I remember reading timeless secrets of health and rejuvenation by Andreas Moritz and in the chapter 5 of this book, I learnt about the secrets of the lunar cycles.

These cycles affects how things are done. Only when you pay attention carefully and then you'll notice. You should check it out. You'll definitely learn alot.

These are great shots, JJ, that lens is really good.
We have had only cloudy and rainy nights lately, so I haven't seen the moon, but maybe I'll try some shots of it when it's full next time.

Yeah, I also have no idea where the moon will actually be, but according to the app it should be close. We can only try, hope and learn ... and hope that no Halloween ghost is around 😁

The funny thing is the other day Saturday I think it was we were working in the backyard laying the Concrete Pad and we noticed an Amazone Prime delivery van driving through the cemetery, we were all joking we never expected to see deliveries there

Those are some awesome shots. I remember hearing a bit of info a while ago that central dispatch gets more calls when the moon is full than they do when it is not. I am sure the teachers where I work could tell you the kids get crazier too!

Great shots here JJ and also some arty ones.

Our full moon was spoiled by storm clouds, but thankfully this month has two full moons.
The next one is called the Blue Moon and I think it will appear on the 31st.

Yes, you are correct JJ and its not an often occurrence.
So we are in for a bumper two full moons this month and maybe I will get the second one if the clouds stay away lol.

Looking good JJ and I like the painting job. I know that green color has a special meaning, but I can't remember if it signifies nature and growth. I think so as I also selected green as Papillon's official color on our butterfly.

Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety.
also its close to the Chroma Green used for backdrops a bit lighter I think, but I felt it warmed up this area a bit as well

Ah! I used to know this, but the clerk upstairs in my head placed the file with all of the other lost ones JJ LOL.
Green is also the color of spiritual growth.
Your green on that wall looks a lot like the color of my favorite Malachite bird and you are right, as it an make an amazing backdrop.

Yeah, you will have much fun in there methinks.

Hahaha, so you also sit with an obnoxious clerk.
Problem is that they have been doing that job for so many years, that if we fire them we will not be able to find anything lol. and we can't employ a new professional clerk, as it will take them too many years to sort the mess out and by that time we have departed this planet.
So, we just have to put up with them lol.

Best is to softsoap that clerk in my head JJ and plead with him buddy, buddy wise to find something that I need.
It violates his policies to ask anything urgently and at times he comes up with requested file months later when he strikes a luck to trip over it lol.
Everything upstairs was designed in the 50s, so the harddrive in my head cannot be ugraded and backups were never done 🤣

I think the worse thing about my filing clerk is when I get into bed and am just dozing off and he throws me a bit of information often randomly but gets me wide awake thinking about it or having to get back up and do something LOL

Oh yeah, I bet that they come from a very special school and are placed in us at birth. They help us in our early years and then start to play with us in our later years.
