Even A Very Patient Person Has Pet Peeves :)

Hey friends!
It's Day 6 and it's interesting to think that we've almost finished a week of this challenge. We're doing great! Let's keep going! ^^

For Day 6, the topic would be our top 5 pet peeves. :)

I am actually someone who has really long patience. I can control my temper and try to understand other people's circumstances and what-nots. However, everything has a limit and that includes my patience. And believe me, you don't want to see me losing it.

Only my family and really close friends have seen lose my calm. It's just once in a blue moon, but after that, you won't see me in your life ever again. Yes, I cut ties with toxic people no matter how close we were. But don't worry, my patience meter is extraordinary. ;)

Now, let's discuss some pet peeves I have. Some of them are just too simple, but they annoy the crap out of me. lol

People using or touching my things without my permission

I'm not stingy nor egotistic, I'm generous even. I just don't like others touching my things without asking me first. It's not difficult to ask for permission, is it?

If you ask for something, or if you want to check out something of my property, then I'd gladly allow you as long as you ask first. Even my mom can't touch my things unless I let her. This is also the reason why I don't let someone else clean my room.

I don't have a lot of things, but I just want to easily find things whenever I need it. If it so happen that I couldn't find what I need the most because someone used it or touched it without asking permission, I feel irritated and my patience meter blasts off. Well, I can still give you a warning if you're not aware of it. See? I'm kind... lol

Screeching Noise

Anothing thing that annoys me is screeching noise like the one a chalk on a blackboard produce... or maybe when your cutting something on a glass plate with a knife. UGH! I can't stand that kind of noise. I don't know why... I just don't like it.

Waiting for late people who don't update of their whereabouts

Have you ever heard of "Filipino Time"? It's actually one of the negative cultures Filipinos have. It's not just a few minutes late, we're talking about an hour or even more!

This is actually one of the reasons why I don't want to hangout or meet up with friends or others outside. We have to wait for a long time!

I remember when I was a University student, I and some classmates decided to have a group study... since I know they're going to be late, I told them to come at 8AM. Actually, I plan to meet with them at nine... because they're usually an hour late.

I thought they'd come at nine, knowing that we're starting at eight... but guess what? They came around 10, almost 11 even. And when you text or call them, they won't respond! UGH! Since then, if they wanted to study with me, I told them to come to my house, so I wouldn't care if they're late or not. I wouldn't even care if they come or not... it was them who asked me to help them study anyway. XD

It's OK to be late, but not all the time... and at least update the person you're meeting about your whereabouts.

Grammar Nazi (especially those who evidently made grammar mistakes as well)

It might be funny for some, but it's irritating for me. I think if you really want to correct someone's grammar, you can just DM them and tell them politely. I don't like to see people commenting on other people's post when they're just correcting them rudely and even ridiculing them for making a grammatically incorrect sentence. Even native speakers make grammar mistakes! xD

I think it's not just because of grammar, but the thought of shaming someone makes me irritated. It's a form of cyberbullying and it's a crime! xD

Backbiters

Yes! They are everywhere, unfortunately!

I would really appreciate it if you tell me you hate me straight to my face than spreading BS behind my back.

I have experienced this way back in my university years and the reason why that person backbit me was so lame and immature. That person told other people that I am a selfish person and only becomes friends with them when I need something.

It's funny because our common friends told me about what she's doing and when I confronted her, she said she just got upset because I didn't let her copy my answers. HAHAHA I was like, WTF! I sometimes hate people. xD They're greedy!

I don't like backbiters... even if you're my friend.
A friendship was lost because of this crap. One of my close friends in high school used to bully someone... and actually, that someone is very kind and would just cry in one corner. I and another friend usually comfort her, but we don't want to make the situation worse. We were still young back then, so I thought it would be over.

It so happened that the bully and the bullied met again in the workplace. I thought their relationship was fine now that they're matured and all. She doesn't bully her anymore, but she talk BS behind her back... and she actually told us that.

I hated it and I confronted her to stop being immature. The other person isn't doing anything wrong to her and that she talk straight to the other person's face if she has any problem. Well, she got angry at me. I wonder what she told our other friend who didn't know the situation because she stopped talking to me, too. haha

We used to be five in the group... and now, only 2 loyal ones remained... At least, one toxic person off my life (or should I say two). :)

That's it for Day 6!!! Thanks for reading! :)

Number 1 is one of my pet peeves as well. Knowing that someone touches my things without permission automatically drops my patience into 0%. 😅

It's not that difficult to ask permission before touching someone's things man unta diba? Hehe

I can relate to all of those 😄. I really hate waiting and get anxious when making others wait. I'm pretty punctual that way. And yes I've used that tactic as well, calling your friends an hour early and yet they manage to arrive late.
Nice one, very relatable.

Ahahaha... right? I mean, if it's for a few minutes, I wouldn't mind... but if your waiting and no one updates you... it's so stressful. xD It's as if they knew our plan... haha xD

Touching things without permission, that's a really good one. Regarding backbiters, I prefer what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of people who reveal who they really are and say what they needed to say. I am just imagining being in the shoes of the bullied meeting the bully many years later- oh no. I guess it's better to have fewer friends in the group as long as everyone is true and with peace of mind.

I agree... less stressful! haha It's better to be with a few REAL friends than with a bunch of fake ones. xD

Touching things without permission is one for me as well. I get furious. And that screeching sound, oh damn... I gotta find out why that sound makes us cringe so much.
