Get To Know @tegoshei More Through These Ten Facts :)

avatar

Hey friends! It's Shei! ^^

It's Day 2 of the 30-day Challenge and I'm here to share my entry. For the second day, it'll be Ten Facts about ME. Let's start! :)

1. I'm an only child, but I had a fantastic childhood!

image.png

Although I'm an only child, I grew up with my cousins. My family used to live beside my grandma's house. Some of my cousins live in grandma's house, so we get to play with each other every day. Sundays are always special because my other cousins would visit grandma, so we usually spend a lot of time together.

In the summer, I also go and visit my grandparents in my father's side. All my cousins in my father's side gather together and go to family outings and stuff. Here's a picture of us with our grandparents below.

My childhood was truly fantastic and enjoyable, indeed!

2. I went to two elementary schools, two high schools and two universities.

There are various reasons why it happened. During the first three years of my elementary years, I went to a school which is quite far from my house because it was known to have really good education system and stuff, but my health failed me. I am asthmatic, so the commute made it harder for me.

It so happened that a new school was built near my place. It was an International Christian school. At first, I took up painting lessons there during the summer to check out the school. I really enjoyed it, and so my parents decided that I transfer to that school. I had a lot of fun memories in that school! It was truly one of the best days of my life!

As for high school, it was due to my father's job. I started high school in the countryside until half of my third year. However, my papa was transferred in the city and with university in mind, my parents decided that we all move with him. And yeah, you guessed it, I transferred in the middle of my third year and graduated in another school. It was quite tough, but I survived.

As for University, I had to transfer because the curriculum changed after I miss one year of going to school. I didn't want to start from scratch, so I had to find a University which is still offering the old curriculum.

3. My mental age is forever 12.

I am super childish that my parents and friends always tell me to grow up. I think it's because of my love for anime. I'm so crazy that I can watch it all day. I sometimes take a day off just to watch anime or read manga. Also when there are family gatherings, I usually spend time with the kids and play with them. I find it more fun than talking with adults. haha I remember, my late grandma used to shout at me and my nieces because we run inside my cousin's house playing tag.

Well, I just love being young at hear!

4. I used to be scared of dogs, but now, I have a dog.

image.png

The reason why I had dog phobia was when a dog tried to run after my cousin and I. Unfortunately, the dog caught up and bit my cousin in front of me. It was a scary scene that whenever I see a dog, I freeze. It happened when I was young, though. When I was in university, my parents decided to get a puppy. It was too cute and gradually, my fear of dogs disappeared. Now, I have this cute doggy named, Arashi.

5. I don't have a gallbladder for more than 10 years now.

image.png

I have mentioned in my previous posts that I have undergone a surgery. It happened in 2009. I had gallbladder multiple gallbladder stones and my gallbladder was so beaten up that they had to remove it. I had to undergo an open surgery because the stones were big and some of them has already clogged up other tubes in my body.

They have shrunk, but those were some of the stones taken out from my gallbladder. My surgeon gave them to me as remembrance. haha If I didn't have the surgery back then, I might not be around writing this blog anymore. :)

6. I'm an introvert, but no one believes me. lol

I am a homebody and I realized that more during this quarantine time. When I was asked what changed, I couldn't answer because my life has been the same even before the lockdown.

I do go to gatherings and enjoy it. I can be surrounded with a lot of people and joke around with them and stuff, but when I get home that day, I feel like I don't want to see other people for a while. I'd feel so drained out.

7. I'm allergic to seafood.

Unfortunately, I am allergic to seafood. At first, it was only rashes so I still try to eat them, but the last time I did, it was so hard to breathe. Since then, I decided not to eat seafood anymore. I can still eat some types of fish, though.

8. I love letters and I keep them in my memory box.

image.png

It's sentimental, but I really love receiving letters and I keep them in this box. The one with the orange envelope I placed in front is the oldest letter I have. It was given to me by my best friend from third grade. She gave it on my birthday and it's also sort of a goodbye letter because I was about to transfer schools. :)

9. I'm one of the boys!

Maybe it's because I grew up with mostly male cousins, I have always been boyish. I used to play basketball with them and of course other games as well. Since I was young, I'm more fascinated with toy cars and guns than Barbie dolls. To be honest, my dolls were just for display because I don't know how to play with them. haha

Aside from that, I prefer wearing T-shirts for men and baggy shorts. Oh, I love wearing caps, too. It's so comfortable! It's so rare to see me in skirt, dress and heels. :)

10. I love drawing and writing poetry.

image.png

Drawing has always been my frustration when I was young because I suck! However, I used that frustration to improve. :) I kept drawing and drawing, so now, I'm somehow satisfied with my works. Well, I still have a lot of room for improvement, though.

image.png

As for poetry, I have written more than a hundred of them. They're my way of expressing my thoughts and emotions. It's my favorite form of writing and I plan to write more in the days to come. Please look forward to reading them. ;)

I'll end my post here. I guess it's quite long, but I hope you still enjoy it. See you on the third day! (^_^)/ Take care always!

Wow! Your fun facts are interesting. But being forever 12 made me smile. I find it cute when I see older people who plays with kids and is very childish. I also have a childish personality, but the mature version dominates me now.
Good read by the way. Those are really a fun facts. 😄😄

I love playing with kids, but I can't keep up with their stamina and energy. I may be mentally 12, but my physical capacity betrays me... hahaha xD Thank you very much! :)
