Covid 19 Case Update-Ghana

I was shocked to the core when i heard the latest update with regards to the Covid19 pandemic in Ghana. The previous records of 3095 cases had escalated to 4012 with just 24 hours. And the biggest of the surprise was; for the first time, my locality has recorded a case. Meaning, the virus is now confirmed in Sunyani. It came not as a surprise since most protocols to ensure the spread of the virus are not strict and many of the Ghanaian citizens are not abiding by them fully. To some, it is pointless to wear a nose mask in a sunny day and suffer to breath that is why the soldiers have been set out to enforce that people abide by the prescribed way to dress up.

Hospitals are even empty. People are afraid to goto the hospital.

Ghana now has 4012 cases which is a total increment of 921 from the previous all-time high of 3095.
The bono region recorded its first case in the update from Yesterday and as such the only other regions in Ghana without a case remains the Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East areas. A petition to remove the sanction on public gatherings has been sent to the executive office by the Christian Church Bodies yesterday. The petition entails a new order of organizing church activities in order to have a service without infecting others with the virus. What is your view on this?

There continue to be 18 deaths as a result of the Covid 19 with most being caused by co-morbidity. 323 individuals have recovered from the pandemic as well. In as much as our death rate is very low, the disease shouldn't be undermined as over-infection could strain our national resources which will lead to low quality treatment of the sick and subsequently and increase in the death toll.

May God Help Us through these hard times. Remember to leave a comment on your thoughts about lifting the ban on social gatherings requested by the Christian Body.
