When you realize how much you still need to know about your own country... This is what you do.

Traveling the world is one of my biggest dreams, but... Knowing my own country better has become my new "obsession" and making me expand my concepts about this dream. Of course, I will not give up on exploring the world, but now I also think about getting to know every corner of my country.

A few months ago, on the last day of one of my most recent trips, I traveled to a paradisiacal coastal place (in the Northeast of Brazil) and I had the opportunity to explore new place (preferably walking, because I like to feel that I know the places in the right way), experiencing new flavors, discovering new cultures, meeting new people and creating new - and unforgettable - memories. So, I kindly invite you to continue reading this post.

The schedule for this intense day and it couldn't be different because the last adventure had to be complete and I did several activities. The day started at 07:30am. in the morning, when I woke up, took a long shower get rid of laziness, changed my clothes and went down to have a breakfast. At around 8:30am., I started taking a walk around the resort (which, by the way, is spectacular!) where I was staying and was enjoying some of the sun that started to get hotter and the landscape that mixes nature in the middle of the buildings.

After a few minutes, I arrived at this beautiful place (words do not describe the feeling of being there, you have to feel the vibration in person): a beach with an extensive strip of white sand "connected" directly to a sea with which there is a multitude of green to blue colors combined with an inspiring and relaxing atmosphere. It is not difficult to get lost in the midst of so much beauty and notice how many wonderful places are spread around the world and walking around here was just the beginning to get to my other activity.

The boat ride (which lasted about 30 minutes) until arriving in an area where there are natural pools was very good and happened from 10:00am., in a region a little further away and with greater movement of people. Along the way (already inside the boat), an endless and iconstestably inspiring water strip. Being able to see this water more closely - in the deepest area - was even more interesting because the colors became even more visible and more striking. I wished I never left that place.

The interaction with some fish was also very fun and made this tour even more special because this exchange of energy made me feel a part of that environment at that time and not just another visitor enjoying the place just to have fun and take out photos (not that there is anything wrong with that, but I cherish more personal experiences). This type of tourism goes beyond the trivial and this is something that makes me very satisfied because I feel it was something real and not just a "pre-programmed" itinerary.

On the way back, at the end of the tour (at 3:30pm.), the sun helped provide a mesmerizing visual spectacle (practically a framed open-air painting): the sun's rays meeting the water, creating a kind of bright strip that was directing the vessel to its final destination. These are episodes that only nature with all its powerful simplicity and consistent magnitude is capable of providing, and everyone should have the opportunity to experience something like this in their lives at least once.

On dry land, I was already very hungry (until then I had only eaten some fruit and drank a lot of coconut water) and quickly I went to look for a restaurant to replenish my energy. After some recommendations from the local chefs, the result was this dish with a very generous portion... After all, the day was still half done and more activities were yet to come. This means that having more energy to face other commitments was essential.

Back from the resort, I took another shower and took a nap (this brake in the rhythm of everyday life is something I appreciate because it does me good) for about 45 minutes. Waking up around 5:45pm., I changed my clothes and went to a Starbucks store for coffee (when it comes to this type of drink - which I am totally addicted to - definitely, this is my favorite place) and start to refuel for the night shift, which promised to be really fun.

However, in the middle of the way (before arriving at the store), in a certain hall of the resort there was an art exhibition with several works made with sustainable materials and I stopped there for a few minutes to appreciate that initiative and I was able to see very interesting works and very creative manually. I find this type of work very immersive and time flies when I try to analyze the physical work of the works and what the artists are trying to say to the public in the interlining of their creations.

When hunger "hit" my stomach (around 07:30pm.) and the dinner alarm screamed (yes, I love to eat... haha!), I stopped at an Italian restaurant specializing in different types of pasta (inside the resort itself) and I dined in the midst of a great traditional setting. The food was fantastic, the Italian flavor was very striking, because the seasoning was very strong and there were many types of spices mixed together, causing a real explosion of flavors inside my mouth. I can not deny that my taste has become a little more refined after this experience.

Soon after, it is clear that a dessert had to come along and help and sweeten the night (which was about to get hotter because I was going to end it at a party organized by the resort where I was staying) but I didn't want to innovate too much in that respect and I looked for an ice cream parlor - with different flavors - and I chose a combination of ice cream with cookies that was delicious (there was really a very sharp mixture of flavors) and it was a great choice to contrast with dinner.

About the party and where did the event take place? A great show of electronic music (very well organized and dynamic, with many many lights and smoke equipment... besides some pyrotechnic and explosive moments) that started at 10:30pm. in one of the most busy and most requested places by the companies of region. Amid that sea of people dancing, singing songs and having fun at night, time literally flew by and the event went on until dawn (around 02:30am).

I got back in the car that the resort made available to guests and before taking another shower and sleeping (naturally very tired and wanting to sleep for several hours... haha!), I packed my bags because I had to be at the airport in a few hours. I slept with the smartphone alarm clock very close to me (and with the highest possible noise level), so I don't wake up late and miss the flight schedule... Yes, I suck to wake up early on my own.

In the end, everything happened as expected (in fact, everything was better than I had planned). The balance of this trip? That was one of the most intense days of my vacation (which were really incredible!). I can't wait for the next trip to feed my adventurous spirit and my explored soul with all the adventures yet to come.
