Will You Like To Have Sex On The Beach?

It took quite a long while but I finally did it. I had 'sex on the beach' and it was as smooth as I imagined. Like many, I've always been amused as to why a cocktail would be named such. Maybe because it's cool, relaxing and an aphrodisiac, yeah?

The standard Sex On The Beach cocktail recipe as specified by the International Bartenders Association (source) is made up of:

• Vodka (4cl)
• Cranberry juice (4cl)
• Orange juice (4cl)
• Peach schnapps (2cl)

I assume the ice cubes and Cranberry juice goes in first because it's at the bottom and it's then topped up with the other ingredients. It's served in a tall glass and garnished with an orange or lemon slice and that umbrella thingy which I think should be edible (I mean what's the point? Oh, it gives the beach vibe).

It's the type of drink that probably hits you after two glasses. It's basically Vodka so that's not surprising. This cocktail was just the right amount of bitter-sweet and easy to down. It's also easy to make yourself as you don't need to look far for any special ingredient. I would definitely be trying this on my own.
