Photography Challenge - Challenge Fotográfico
Hello! Today I will be publishing the start of this Photo Challenge: Protect the (self) image in any circumstance. Regarding the confinement that is experienced worldwide and worrying creative stagnation for some people, Andrés Pérez proposal to create from our homes, along with other incredible Venezuelan artists and my generation who work the image in different ways.
¡Hola! el día de hoy estaré publicando el inicio de este Challenge Fotográfico: Proteger la (auto)imagen en cualquier circunstancia. A propósito de el confinamiento que se vive mundialmente y preocupante estancamiento creativo para algunas personas, surge la propuesta de Andrés Perérez a crear desde nuestros hogares, junto a otros increíbles artistas venezolanos y de mi generacion que trabajan la imagen de diferentes formas.
From 5 premises: A self-portrait of the self-portrait; An opposite; A permanent time; Something that nobody sees; and The story of death. Mainly publishing in our instagram accounts, exploring and publicizing our introspection until we reach the image.
A partir de 5 premisas: Un autorretrato del autorretrato; Un opuesto; Un tiempo permanente; Algo que nadie ve; y La historia de la muerte. Publicandose principalmente en nuestas cuentas de instagram, explorando y dando a conocer nuestra forma de introspección hasta llegar a la imagen.
Many visual disciplines have a dependency on the outside, what is outside. In thes monotonous interior times it's important to ask ourselves if we can reassign new shapes optical to those images that have always looked the same to us. Give a different look to those ignored spaces can be a way to rethink our -for now- new environment.
Muchas disciplinas visuales tienen una dependencia por lo exterior, lo que está afuera. En estos tiempos de interioridades monótonas es importante preguntarnos si podemos reasignar nuevas formas ópticas a esas imágenes que siempre han lucido igual para nosotros. Conceder un aspecto distinto a esos espacios ignorados puede ser una forma de replantearnos nuestro -por ahora- nuevo entorno.

Of all the visual exercises, the self-portrait is the most autistic. It depends only on our being, on what is inside. Imagine you are not alone in the room and the The person who is watching you is yourself. This is what a self-portrait is about. how to capture the isolation of that image? How does that character look and who is he?
De todos los ejercicios visuales, el autorretrato es el más autista.
Depende sólo de nuestro ser, de lo que está adentro. Imagínate que no estás solo en la habitación y la
persona que te está observando eres tú mismo. De esto se trata un autorretrato del autorretrato ¿Cuál sería
la forma de plasmar el aislamiento de esa imagen? ¿Cómo se ve y quién es ese personaje?
