A Not So Beautiful Winter Morning.
Being stuck at home for the past 62 days along with the whole country in lockdown, the only thing keeping me sane while going through these difficult times is memories. Memories I've collected throughout my life in forms of images. A small trip here and there. A family vacation to someplace nice.
Or a river cruise on one of the world's most polluted and smelly rivers in a winter morning.
Yeah, this is not one of those nice trips that everybody likes to brag about but it is indeed memorable only because you are with your best mates who get you. Along with them some can even dare to travel to the end of the world. Fortunately, it didn’t come to that XDXD.
The following images are taken on such a trip. Not a trip though but commuting to be exact. Like, you are in an ancient river vessel that is not that safe really, and the river smells like sewage that is been rotting since pre-biblical times. Countries one of the biggest water sources yet countless factories decide to dump their wastage and the authorities do not even bat an eye.
Small wooden hand made boats that are among other things, generally used to cross rivers.
So yeah, not a trip exactly.
But the silver lining is I had a Canon 600D, SLR for amateurs along with a 55-250 telephoto with me. So I thought why not take some bad photos. Like if you just clicked shutter with nothing in mind. I'm not proud of them but they paint an imagery that represents what I just said.
So, I give you One of the most polluted rivers in the whole world. Its name is that which non-Bengali speakers cant pronounce.
Nobody likes pics of garbage, wastes and feces. So I tried to maintain a sort of aesthetic and also, these are not edited in any way.
There are countless other establishments and factories like this for the whole 29 KM I was going.
Slightly larger ones with diesel engines that carry cargo.
This is the inland river port and where I got on the Boat from.
Some kind of a bridge. It looked like buildings from the dimension upside down In Stranger things
I don't know the name of these birds, looked like falcons though.
These were fighting over a fish. I remember because they dropped it on the lower deck.
It looked majestic but lack of sufficient light the camera couldn't get all the colors.
My Gang members XDXD. Idiots yet with big hearts, as most of the good ones, are. It might sound cheesy but I might as well say it. If blockchain exists for eternity these words will too exist for eternity. I am privileged to be with them. We shared quite a few adventures, especially the Bald one ;-) but that will be a story for another time.

All the photos are taken by me with a Canon 600D.
