Sometimes as a poultry farmer one needs to be very creative just to get the best out of the livestock one keeps.
There is nothing bad in keeping different birds all together in a confined cage or coop.

I keep chicken with Guinea fowl and turkeys are they are both living together just fine.

The Methods I used;

  • Once i get new birds, i keep them separately more like a quarantine, i observe them and sure they are free from all kinds of diseases, after this i can go and mix them with the other flock.
  • Another thing is i do is keeping their cage clean at all times so ss to avoid any form of diseases spread.
  • having a spacious cage/coop is very import so they wont peek on each other. i also make sure i provide them with food and water at all times with this they are less aggressive and wont have reasons to fight each other.
  • Also i keep more female birds to male because the female ones are less aggressive and they don't often fight with each other
