Jute {ewedu}, this is the vegetable that is cooked and goes with plate of many solid food like yam flour, pounded yam, Eba, Semovita, wheat e.t.c at home or a Yoruba party, most especially Oyo state in Nigeria. It is a green leafy vegetable in nature, English language knows it as Jute Mallow, Yoruba knows it as Ewedu. The Jute mallow leafs are very rich in minerals, vitamins and also fighting diseases which enable the body to enriching vitamins such as calcium, sodium, iron, phosphorus. Planting of green plants generally in a house garden gives the occupant a great height benefit by inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide which plants too uses.
This is my gerden containing Jute mallow leafs, vegetable and okro.

You have to cut it with knifes so that it can grow again for more harvest.
