I would pass up opportunities if I wasn't a bibliophile
If someone asks, where is your favorite place in the world? The answer is always the same. The library.
I could read all day without getting bored and exhausted. I could complete 600 pages of any book in 24 hours.
I am a bibliophile, I would choose to buy a new book than to buy a new dress. I usually believe the information in a single book will fetch me enough value, value that I can use to generate sufficient money to buy surplus dresses in the future.
If I ever feel out of the blue, a book brings me back to my senses. It gives me the right motivation to strive. What keeps me sane is reading.
I don't think I have tried anything without first reading about it. It's a sort of armor for protection and defense, I have to be equipped for the war ahead, that has always been my thought.
A Friend had said
I never got on to a battle without enough bullets in my pocket.
It's the same for me, I'll never do a thing if I do not have the basics foundation about it. I have to read everything I can find on the subject. If I find a promising book on it, I'll be delighted.
I am soaked up in people's writings and ways of reasoning that my brother says, I see a default where others see a fault. And he is right, reading has made me decipher why people behave the way they do.
I do not go around judging people because I know whatever it is they are doing, they are doing so as the basis for their survival.
I had shared once with the community how a book helped me with a devastating breakup. Satisfactorily, another book had helped me thrive in my next relationship. I read some that helped me work with people daily. I have vibes that you may think it's elusive, but, it is quite attainable because the only thing that hinders us is our minds.
My motivation comes from reading, it's my positive Phile. @eriksand is the one making me write about my Phile today. He shared a lot of things that motivate him, and they are all his positive phile.
Here is the post, My Positive Phile
What triggered this writing was his first phile being an Autophile. He said this phrase
I like solitude. In my solitude, I think about work, money, and love that I will go through in the future. I judge myself to be valuable to others. For me, it's important to understand myself. So, being alone isn’t always bad, because sometimes we need to evaluate our mistakes.
And it made me recall I love being alone too but of course with my books. It's getting horrifying because I find gratification by being locked up someplace diving into wisdom some creature found years back and was generous to share in a book.
There are lots of things I did because I read about someone achieving them. I learn to bake because of a character in a book, l began to appreciate architectural drawings and structure because of another character. I loved the arts because of a particular character in a book. I got interested in politics because of another character. I decided to learn how to dance because of a character. Books formed the person I became
Once I had jokingly told someone, if they yearned to hurt me, they should write it in a book, make me find it, and they will win.
I prefer new and insightful books as gifts to candies and gadgets. A book for me is a ticket to accumulating all of the other things life has to offer. The human who buys me a book is offering me the world in few pages of bound material.
It's the way the scripture says, "seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all other things will be added unto you" A bunch of things has been added unto me since the first day I began to appreciate the knowledge saved and hidden in books
It doesn't matter what you crave for, I am 100% convinced, the secrets and mysteries to finding it lies in a book, somewhere, bound with a spiral, waiting for you to unveil it.
Buy a book today, and gain access to all the abundance of life tomorrow.
You and I are peas in the same lovely pod - love of books! Almost everything I learned, I read up first.
No day goes by without me picking up a book to read excluding the time I spend online, reading! 🙂
Awwnn.... It's so sweet to have a partner in this obsession .... Books 😍😘
Yeah..... Me too 🙈
Oh no! She is everything I am 😋😚
Hey! thanks for making me feel at home with my Phile. It's amazing to know I am not alone in this
Wonderful!) This is one of the best declarations of love I've ever read)
Thank you very much, sir 😚

That's with a lot of pleasure 😊🌹👍
Do you know when you respond to my comments, it makes me skeptical of you being a bot?
So I'll ask this for clarity here and now, @hivebuzz, are you a bot?
))) Me not bot. Me cyborg!
I also have this passion for books. Maybe not as much... but I love winning books xD
You love winning books? Wow
How do you do that?
Perhaps I expressed myself poorly with the translation of the text.
I say when I get a gift.
I didn't really know the beauty in books until some years back. I wouldn't blame me though, I used to only have access to complex books like the physics textbook and chemistry books so reading got really tiring. I started to love books when I started reading novels, started off with really small romantic ones because they were really easy to get and with time I got really intrigued about how the author can bring me into the characters, I see myself living the stories I read, it shaped my vocabulary, shape my writing skills, gave me more insights. Then I started to read history books, sci-fi books, mystery and so on. I remember reading the sorrows of satan and it really made me see things in a really different perspective, it was beautifully written!
Ohhhh, that's the power of books, it builds your psychology, make you do things you'd never think you would do.
Keep up the reading habit, you're already becoming a genius.
Was it someone that forced you to read them 🤣🤣🤣
Return my novels before I send thunder for you 🙄😒
Nice one
Yes, we got it
I will... Thanks
Bookworm. That's one thing that will never be taken out of the picture.
Chew it, swallow it and digest it girl.
You've got it🥂
Hahaha....The one thing that never changed over the years of undergoing changes you are well aware of
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I will ooo
Thanks babe ❤️
I have no doubt about your love for books. How do I know that? Your writing style tells me everything. I was a good reader a couple of years back, so good that I would sit in the library bunking my college 😂. But thanks to the internet I am reading too few.
Oh no, was it that obvious? 😲
Hahhahha.... I am sure the rewards you got was worth all the efforts and energy you put into studying.
I completely understand
PS: hey thanks for the mention on the #cometweek, I appreciate it
This is such a wonderful article to contemplate on.
There's so much benefits attached to reading of books, because it opens your mind, and insights to the things we are ignorant about.
He who stops to learn , stops to gain knowledge, we learn gather ideas from different people which will make us to build up our own life .
Interesting article!
Awwwnnnn... Thank you so much, cherry 🙂
Yes, those insights opens us up to opportunities that we never knew exist
Knowledge can be gain from anywhere, whether in books or from other human.... The most important thing is that we are learning
Thanks again
Okay...
I think I'm the only one here who is on same train with a different driver...
I so much hate books, mostly when it doesn't involve calculations..🤦🤦
I'm sorry about that..
Wait a minute..... You love calculations?
Gosh .... I love calculations more .... Most times I wish we didn't have to learn theories in class 😩
It's the numbers for me too .... So you are in the right track
No need to apologise dear, I understand
Hahahhahh..... Of course not, as long as you are learning from other things .... It's fine
🤣🤣 Theories sucks....
Swears 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So beautifully put!💗 Like you I love reading too and I research things to death before I get involved in them or choose them over other things. Books have always been my passion and were always top of my birthday and Christmas list. In fact Christmas day I would grab my books head to my bedroom with some treats and just lie there and read, read, read. When lunch came and the family came round for us to celebrate together and have fun in the swimming pool, I would emerge blinking into the bright sunlight, having satiated my imagination and ready for the real world😍 Kindred spirit you are @edystringz and you are very right. The pages of a book are far more valuable than the paper they are written on. The learning and growth experiences offered up are immeasurable.
I am happy I didn't reply to this comment 3 days ago
I am saying this because this morning I read a post of yours that confirmed you are an avid reader too
I must confess it was a mind blowing post 🙂
Would I be wrong if I say, I inspired that post? This is because you said everything you are saying here in that writing
I stole this phrase of yours and posted it on Facebook story this morning 👇👇
I am forever indebted to the authors of the books that I have read
I stole it because I can relate, and I am as indebted to them as you are, @samsmith1971
ha ha ... you know I hadn't thought of why I suddenly came up with the idea to write about my passions for reading and writing and my journey with them over the past few years, but your post and my response to it must have been sat in my subconscious churning away and when it came down to writing my first thoughtful daily post yesterday evening, I had no idea what I was going to write at first...and then it just hit me and it just all poured out of my heart and soul. So yes, I guess you did inspire me to reconnect back to my own childhood and with my journey with the written word. Thank you🙏😍 And hey, no bother about using that phrase lol. Thank you for taking the time to write such a meaningful response.
Hey, thanks for giving me a bit of credit, I am honored 😊
