What kind of music do you listen to?

What is your Spectrum?
How vast is your taste for music?
Do you move to any sound in the room,
Or block away some sounds as noisome?

Are you awed by nature's cries;
Will you sway to the wind's flute,
As it strolls among the dancing leaves,
Or will you smile when the Cherry bird tweets.

How do you react to a flirting tune?
Will the note speak to your heart,
As a stranger with soothing truths,
Or your ears, deaf to all but the Blues.

What is the range of your satisfaction?
Are you trained to the clank of metallic,
Or reel in any sound that draws attention;
To the jazz or the lull of the chilling Opera,

To the nightingale on a lonely night,
To the chiming clock on a sleepless night,
To the laughing cicada as it robs the lazy night,
To the wind's symphony amidst the sleeping trees,

Many times a lovely tune is lost,
For the ears we've trained to block,
To screen out and certain sounds ignore,
In a world full of sound, in flavors rich.

Good music, a spectrum in itself

Good music; sound devoid of genre,
As the scent of water upon a tongue that tastes,
It soothes and pleases the heart that longs,
It calms and fills the soul per time.

It is music that fills our thirst for affection,
That speaks to and connects with the soul,
That flows with and syncs our emotions,
Our thoughts brought to live in it's lines.

Good music is the spectrum itself,
Judged by our hearts, not just our ears.

Thank you for capturing nature in words @edystingz,

At the moment I am listening to the evening cicada's cry and the frogs chirp as bird babies chirp for the last meal of the day. Together with the doppler sounds of passing cars I hear the rhythm of my backyard.

I was waiting for your song at the end of the post... or at least a little whistle. I WISH YOU WOULD HAVE ADDED YOUR VOICE!!

I will not judge your spectrum of music.

May your soul always be filled with a spring of water.

Would you like to put music into your verses?

I love how you relate everyday sounds of nature and the environment to music. It is so true that we tend to tune out certain familiar sounds, thus no longer appreciating them for what they are. We often need a break away to realise how much we miss them. I feel like this about things like the Hornbill or Hadeda in South Africa.
