WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS

The year started pretty well for me if I would say so and at one point I felt like things were too good to be true, I guess that jinxed it because after a few days things started taking a bad turn.

The first thing that happened was my laptop getting bad just a few weeks after purchase and due to this, certain jobs I had to do were completely canceled.

Immediately after that, some investments I had in place began falling apart and trips I had planned just to rest my head also had to be canceled.

Because of all these things that were happening at once I fell into a place of overthinking and with my mental health not being the strongest, I got closer to being depressed, well until I watched a video.

The video spoke about just taking the next step because it was always available and said that sometimes we should try to take a pause from looking and planning for the future.

Now, no one is saying that you shouldn’t plan for your future but it is important to know when to take a break especially when you feel like your head is getting crowded with worry over an uncertain future.

I won’t lie, my major cause of depression is the uncertainty of my future, and most days I feel like I am stuck in a bubble while others are moving faster than the speed of light but I have come to realize that when life gives you lemons you can either see it as bad or as good and with all the things happening in my life right now, I decided for the first time to try to see things in a positive light.

So while my laptop purchase might have been awful, I am choosing to see it as an opportunity to get something better with time and while my investments fell off, well, that is an opportunity to make better choices with more experience in the future.

With all these in thought, moving forward, I have decided to take life one step at a time because the truth is for me, things have always worked out even when I feel like they wouldn’t so I truly sometimes don’t understand why I worry so much but I guess it is human nature to.

Dealing with disappointments is pretty normal because life is always going to give you lemons but the most important thing is how you receive and process them, you can choose to take it bitterly as it is or choose to make a lemon filled tart with it but in the end, it is still your choice.

THANK YOU FOR OPENING THIS BOX OF PASSION

Remember what you told me?

"You don't always have to be strong". That stuck with me.

Taking life one step at a time is now the best. We can't turn back time but we can darn well make sure we maximize it. Keep thriving sis!

Exactly, it is easier taking it a step at a time.

This often happens to me a lot. Whenever it does, I just pause and take a deep breath. Then I move a step at a time, life is not a sprint but a marathon.

It is very important to know when to take a breathe, we often forget to do that when life hits.

You should try and avoid comparing yourself with others. We have different talents and as such can accomplish different things based on our talents. You just need to focus on what you are doing and do it well. If things didn't come out well, pick out the lessons from it and try again.

I am not one to compare but sometimes it is very clear to see.

Thank you for reading.

Life is full of ups and downs and it is easy to be consumed and let ourselves spiral into despair because of the downs. We then worry and stress about all sorts of things that in all probability will never happen.

My life motto is, "go with the flow!" - Just enjoy it man, the good and the bad. Don't sweat the little things out of your control.

I know easier said than done, but hope things work out.

I think I might borrow your motto because trying to fight it is way harder than going with the flow.

Thank you.

Haha, great. That is why I like it. There are some things you just can't resist or control. The key is to focus on your circle of influence. The things outside your circle of influence, don't sweat it, there is nothing you can do anyway as you can't change the outcome.

Have a good day mate.
