There was an island. This island became famous for remunerating its employees (or were users?) with reward, like gems and gold as they produced legitimate content for an epic theater that was presented once a week, it was the only theater in the world that had as its only audience five whales, each whale was brought in its own water tank by huge reinforced helicopters. The whales loved the shows, plays, dramas, tragedies and comedies that took place on that huge stage made just for them. The island workers struggled throughout the week to give their best material, they extracted the wildest possible ideas from their neurons and formed a content that might or might not please the whales. Each piece was analyzed and absorbed by this huge mammals, which sometimes spit small crumbs onto the stage (pearls from some oysters they ate during their walks in the warm seas around that island.

The stage workers went wild to pick up the pearls, lost their way, gathered what they could on their knees, gold coins found in sunken ships, glittering stones from an earring some lady threw overboard on a day of fury and pain in her relationship. Any crumb already excited users (workers). When one of the pieces/performances was victorious, the person received an entire chest of gold and diamonds. Some people philosophized about how natural that impulse of creation is given that it is based on the obsession with profit, others treated it as a stimulus, some repressed the idea that those treasures should be used, after all, he is from the sea and not of the user who won, he can only keep the treasure at home, but then it's best to throw it overboard again. There was an everlasting discussion about the whale theater. What was known is that as long as those whales were there asking for a show, there would always be someone to do them, after all, who would complain about writing and entertaining an animal as dear and mystical as a whale? Some were indifferent, there were whales that didn't go to the show, they ignored the existence of the theater, there were whales that were the center of attention, there were violent whales that made drama and mockery, there were snobby and stupid whales. After all, no one is perfect, not even the dear whales.

The theater on the island of whales is still there, producing entertainment of varying qualities, it is sometimes difficult to understand why some plays that are so weak and stupid get so much more crumbs than others that are creative and detailed. Some rumors say that there are agreements between different levels of whales, and that there are some sharks, dolphins and octopuses that are part of the math behind the decisions of large mammals, and that all small workers can do is continue their dedicated service, because, any day could be the day to get a treasure chest.

This is my entry for @calumam's POB Word of the Week. Hope you enjoyed the story :)

Essa é minha entrada para o POB Word of the Week do @calumam. Espero que tenham gostado do conto :)

Wow, this is amazing

You just clearly defined the fun we have every week when we all participate in the word of the week

I like the way you concluded it. That although most of don't get the attention of the whales, we never lose our confidence in our entry

We continue writing, hoping that one day, it will be appreciated

Well done, buddy

Thanks for reading and commenting! You even had a very optimistic view of my "tale" haha. He has a certain biting background in his background. In the end, I see so many of us doing our best to please whales while we could simply be using this art to develop our own space within the community and get somewhere without bumping into so many rules and opinions that they try to create around here. But, this is not a criticism of the contest, as I'm participating, it's just a philosophy about the relationship we create from dependence on bigger figures and who "help" us.
