“Well Mr. Thorne, Welcome aboard the Storm Crow.” The Engineer picked up his large spanner as the sound of engine’s pitch whined higher, pumps came alive followed by the sound of gases flowing through a myriad of pipes.
The enormous vessels filled taunt.
All around the struts and girders strained and creaked.
The ship pitched up in a steep climb as Thorne adjusted his footing unfamiliar with the movements of this strange ship.
The Boarding party files through the narrow passage, arms full of select gold and silver plunder. Next to last, Tewsy strode by with a case of what appears to be French wine. “Compliments of the Astoria’s Captain… why Ronaldo, I see you have a new hire,”
The Brazilian rested the spanner over his broad shoulders, “I need a good hand even if he’s a stowaway.”
The last person was a dark figure, a mysterious woman in black donning a mask. She hesitated next to the young lad, looked him over for a moment before resuming her pace with the men.
“Who is that?, queried Thorne.
Ronaldo nodded with a grin, “She’s this Ship’s Master… The Bloody Raven.”
