Good Morning all you Coffee Lovers on the Hive!

After a quick morning coffee (after a late start) I took a gentle 40 minute walk in to Panagsama Beach and as it was a little later in the day I fancied another coffee to top myself up so to speak. I was nearly all the way to the dive shop when I couldn't resist the pull of Smooth Cafe. I could feel the coffee gravity pulling me in.

The owner, Marc, recently purchased my kayak from me and I took part payment in cash and part in coffee, cheesecake, food, beer credit. I know I am a genius.

With coffee ordered and delivered to my table in a flash I started thinking about food. My early Birthday breakfast yesterday seems to have affected my normal fasting routine. Hmmm but what to have?

I paused to think and decided to forego my usual cheesecake fetish and have something less sugary. I listen to my body and it wanted me to do something else entirely.

I settles on a quinoa salad & flat bread with hummus and baba ganoush. This turned out to be a great decision. I ordered it simply because it was possibly the only thing on the menu I had not tried. It was superb and for someone that doesn't usually like to eat in the morning I certainly wolfed it down. Each mouthful delicious and my body chemistry telling me yes @scubahead this is what you want right now.

I still have qite a bit of credit left so i will be back in the coming days. They do craft beer also so I think possibly a later visit on the way home some time this week might be a cunning plan.

It's a superb little spot and one I regret not making more use of while I was here. But being wrapped up in work all the time you sometimes fail to look around you and take note of what is literally right in front of you every day.
