From fear to tranquility / The Coffee house

Tomas was a young man who lived far from his job, every morning he left home and every night he came back driving for hours while crossing the dark forest.

One day an oversight cost him dearly and could even take his life, he forgot to fill the gas tank and in the middle of nowhere, the unexpected happened, his car stopped and there was no one to help him.

Tomas quickly remembered that he had run out of gas and realized that he could not stay in the car, because his life was in danger, there were many animals crossing the street at night looking for food to hunt.

There were many animals crossing the road at night in search of food to hunt, and the criminals in the area could kidnap him or take his life.

Desperate, Tomas saw the smoke from a chimney in the distance, thought it might be the perfect shelter as dawn was breaking, and decided to go into the forest.

As he entered the forest, fear chased him, his breathing accelerated and his heart almost skipped, he did not know what awaited him, and he did not know where he was going to get to, uncertainty and anxiety consumed him, the howling of wolves and insects of the night, froze his skin, only a lamp accompanied him and his cell phone had no signal.

Suddenly an unexpected growl made him run desperately, wanting to escape, he supposed that maybe it was a bear that wanted to attack him, Tomas ran for a long time until he reached a beautiful place.

It was a house made entirely of Coffee with Cinnamon columns, Tomas seeing this scared him even more, what psychopath could have had the time to build a house of coffee and so far away from the city? Maybe he is a torturer! Tomas thought and feared even more for his life, he thought that this man was crazy and that if he entered the house he could surely kill him, but the fear of the night made him dare to knock on the door.

Tomas knocked and no one came out, so for a second he thought about entering, when he opened the door he saw an old man lying on a sofa, he realized he was asleep and for a moment he thought he was someone harmless.

When the old man woke up he was very upset because Tomas had violated his privacy, he immediately tried to get him out of his house with a stick and started to defend himself, but Tomas begged him for help and a place to spend the night, suddenly the old man felt compassion and decided to help Tomas, he gave him a cup of coffee and some dinner, also some blankets so he could sleep.

But Tomas wanted something more, he wanted to know why that man had built a coffee house, that was crazy, so he questioned him, and the old man kindly told him that his great love and wife, who had already passed away, lived in a coffee plantation, and since he always wanted to remember her and never betray her, he decided to live alone in a house with a coffee aroma so he could always remember her.

He loved her so much that even after her death he wanted to show his fidelity to her, so he dedicated himself to harvesting and drying coffee beans to build his house far from the city, that story moved Tomas, who thought that love was vanity.

The next morning the old man had prepared breakfast for Tomás, a cup of coffee and some gasoline so he could get home. Tomas was so grateful that he wanted to help the old man, so he took the gasoline and left, watching the road carefully so he could return.

Days later he decided to visit the old man to talk to him, they became great friends and Tomas learned to let go of his prejudices and began to love again, just as the old man wanted a wife for life and to be able to have a home.

Sometimes we learn little life lessons from the least expected people, and sometimes prejudices prevent us from knowing the good inside the hearts of others.

This made me laugh so much! I am exactly the kind of person who would want to have a house of coffee beans far away from the city 😂

Fantastic take Tejimundo!

hehehehehe well, we all wish to have a house of coffee and cinnamon, but really who does it or would have a lot of money or an impressive agility, although today everything is possible, let's not be surprised to see coffee houses, I have seen ice houses with all the decoration in ice, all crazy.

Greetings , it only occurred to me to create a story following any of the routes indicated , that's why I opted for the one about the house of coffee beans , I thought they were free stories , I misunderstood the instructions and at no time I was guided by Halloween , as I actually respect who celebrates it , but I don't celebrate it.

Don't apologize! 😄
The prompts are open to interpretation. The comments are all fun and good:)))

I personally don't celebrate Halloween either.

PS - I like your drawing of the Coffee House 👏

This was the tamest version of coffee Hansel and Gretel I've ever read haha.
Good story. A happy ending is nice once in a while

What can I say, I like happy endings with a moral, in the end in our personal lives is what we all hope for a happy ending, after learning.

wow I would never have guessed the reason why the old man built the house, it is certainly touching to see such a beautiful story of love and loyalty.

Your story is very beautiful and touching, I was also inclined to choose option number 2. Let's see if I get a chance to write.

It's wonderful that they became friends :) ... I hope neither was ever lonely again!
