Sublime Sunday - The local version of TARDIS ... and some other cool stuff in the poetic autumnal landscape
It was a surprising appearance ... hard to explain without assuming that Doctor Who is real ...
... the old-fashioned telephone boot, typical for the 80' in this part of the world ...
... was proudly and mysteriously standing in the green fields, far from any urban area ... and deep in the era of mobile communication.
I found this slightly surreal detail ...
... while driving around the narrow country lanes in the southern inland of this peninsula ...
... about 20 - 40 kilometers from my seaside home ...
... near some small abandoned settlement ...
... that I didn't now exist ... I was driving through a series of confusing unpaved roads ...
... enjoying the Twin Peaks soundtrack ...
... when I stumbled upon this mysterious place ...
... seemingly out of time ...
... kind of enclosed in an interdimensional bubble ...
... and very subtly removed from reality ... while still feeling completely real. ... and suitable for being photographed.
I don't remember how I got out of that enchanted little universe ...
... but I was on the road again ...
... directed home ...
... but not directly ...
... I was very loosely directed home ...
... so I took a few more shots of the beautiful autumnal landscape ...
... in the warm light of the late afternoon.
As always in these sublime ramblings on Hive, the photographs are my work.
Wouldn't it be funny if it was for The Matrix 4? Filming on the movie just wrapped. I always wondered what Neo would do without a phone booth! Can you picture him using an iPhone instead? :)

He he ... true, I can't imagine him with the iPhone ... I mean, I can - but it looks too mundane :) not cool enough.
Interesting post, and indeed a surreal scene.

Suggests to me an absence of GPS. I never use one--but I do use a map :)
He he ... never saw a GPS up close, never used it ... just like the microwave oven ... every period has some great technological advancement that I just don't need :D
My daughter gave us one. She believes it is an indispensable artifact of modern life. I refuse to give control over to that contraption. I plot my own path and have fun doing it. As for microwave. Great for boiling water in the summer. Doesn't heat up the house :))
Rural teleportation , id of the village of Cabrunici to Marcana sympathetic speaker :)
aj two hours walk ma vuuoooj janiii naaa neeenenaaj
Here, until teleportation was invented, a token used to be inserted in the 80's so that someone could be called and heard, now it's forgotten, I'm going to both posts
:D Magic communication coin for comrades!
:D :D :D hhihuhiiii local rural sound in the globalized online world
