The word faith is used to describe a set of beliefs held by a person or a community. It also refers to a sense of certainty and a positive concept of an individual or something.

Among the factors involved in faith are morality, reason and feelings.

We speak of moral force when faith is driven by the fear of divine punishment or by the ambition to achieve a certain prize. Rational force, on the other hand, is nourished by norms that are mixed with evidence from previous times. Finally, feelings or emotions appear when faith has its origin in a longing, and contributes to improve the person's self-esteem.

Faith is a fundamental part of life, and leaning on it, particularly in difficult times, can help us overcome even life's greatest adversities.

Last week, I was visiting some of the temples located in the center of the city, as part of the activities for the celebration of Holy Week, which together with Christmas, is one of the most important festivities of Christianity worldwide.

During that day, besides visiting the different churches, I had the opportunity to take a lot of pictures, both of the parishioners I met along the way, as well as of the temples.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

La palabra fe se usa para describir todo aquel conjunto de creencias de una persona o una comunidad. También hace referencia a una sensación de certeza y al concepto positivo que se tiene de un individuo o de algo.

Entre los factores que intervienen en la fe, se encuentran la moral, la razón y los sentimientos.

Se habla de fuerza moral cuando la fe es impulsada por el miedo a un castigo divino o por la ambición de alcanzar un determinado premio. En cambio, la fuerza racional se alimenta de normas que se mezclan con pruebas de tiempos anteriores. Finalmente, los sentimientos o emociones aparecen cuando la fe tiene su origen en un anhelo, y contribuye a mejorar la autoestima de la persona.

La fe es una parte fundamental de la vida, y apoyarnos en ella, particularmente en tiempos difíciles, puede ayudarnos a superar incluso las mayores adversidades de la vida.

La semana pasada, estuve recorriendo algunos de los templos ubicados en el centro de la ciudad, dentro de las actividades propias de la celebración de la Semana Santa, que junto a la Navidad, constituye una de las festividades más importantes del cristianismo a nivel global.

Durante ese día, además de visitar las diferentes iglesias, tuve la oportunidad de tomar una buena cantidad de fotografías, tanto de los feligreses que encontré en el camino, como también de los templos.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
