All Will Always Be Revealed...

It’s very easy to be deceived by the things we see online, we see all the lights and glamour people show off and we just want it all. It’s hard to know who is faking it and who is being real out there because everyone just wants to look their best when it comes to the public eye.

Everything that is put out there is packaged specifically so that the public will look at us with a favorable eye. We all want people to think highly of us, so we tell them only the best parts of our lives and how everything is just fine and dandy, like just another Tuesday.

As a result, people are left thinking one way about us, when in fact we’re experiencing something different. Things could be worse, things could be better, but we take great precautions to make sure that those things never see the light of day.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

As for me, when did I get the epiphany that all that glittered was indeed not gold?

Honestly, I’ve been racking my brain about this and I’ve been coming up empty. I’m not one to read a lot of meaning into the life people put out online and while I can admire them, it doesn’t get me out of sorts at all.

I used to know a guy who wanted to become a pastor. He wanted to become a pastor just the same way people become engineers and lawyers like you just wake up one day and realize you want to lead your flock. That was how it was for him. He told us he was called by God, and that he only needed a sponsor to help him out. We never argued with him, although we did tease him a lot about his stance on a lot of things.

For starters, this guy was selfish to the core! Like, how will you want to be a leader, and borrowing your friend N50 will be hard for you? He’s one of those people that just naturally say ‘no’ first even before they hear what you have to say. Just as you’re asking them, they’ve told you no and then proceed to give reasons as to why they can’t help you. Maybe even if God did call him, he would have said no just out of habit.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

Other than that though, he didn’t have a problem. He was active in his church, he spoke in tongues and prayed like he was going to bring the heavens down, he had a great voice and was great on the keyboard. Like, this guy was just the full package, when it came to ministerial work. This was the path he chose to pursue and it was working for him.

Every evening of the week and weekends, he was always in one church or the other ministering and preparing himself for the time when he would be ready to lead his flock. Other than being selfish, he had no problems, so we were cool with him. We all were chasing our dreams and that was the main goal.

One thing changed our perception of him though, it was when a scandal involving a pastor broke the internet. A major sex scandal that even involved an A-list celebrity. It was a time when people were taking sides and trying to decipher what really happened on their own. Many debunked the claims and others were certain that it was true. But not for my friend, he told us that even if it was true, there was nothing wrong with it!

He then went on to tell us about the struggles Men of God face every day just so they will be able to cater to the spiritual needs of the people, he talked about the pains they go through and the multitudes of battles they have to fight on behalf of the flock. He believed that a little sin here and there was not bad, after all, the human body isn’t firewood.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

It was at this point we realized who our friend really was and how he wasn’t really after the holy life as he claimed. He was simply after the prestige, glamour, and wealth that came with being a popular Man of God. This made us realize that when this guy got to that point, nothing would stop him from doing even worse. He’ll be one of those pastors who will milk his congregation of every single penny they have, grow fat, buy private jets, and build luxurious houses, while they keep growing poor day after day. He’ll be the kind that will sleep with his female ministers, and the wife of his male members under the “guidance of the spirit”.

All this made him a hypocrite because he was working towards becoming everything he preached and prayed against. Sometimes, how a man will climb the pulpit to preach about the evils of adultery and fornication, only to go behind the curtains and sleep with other people’s wives always baffles me. At this point, I could see this as the path this guy was headed down.

And I was not wrong. About a year later, a mini-scandal broke out in our neighborhood. And it involved this guy. Turns out he had multiple girlfriends, two of which had a really public and messy fight because of him, another one got pregnant and saddled him with more responsibility than he was ready for. The story became so widespread that churches around no longer called him, he became like a plague that everyone was trying to avoid. He could no longer show his face in public again, everyone was talking about how shocked they were about his acts. But me and my friends were not surprised, we had seen this coming from a mile away.

Eventually, he simply vanished from view. Last I heard, he relocated somewhere else with one of the girls, somewhere he wasn’t known so he could start afresh. Honestly, I really don’t care at this point. I know he has what it takes to become a successful pastor, if I see him on TV and the like, I won’t be surprised. But I’ll never take anything he says with more than a pinch of salt. Because now I’m certain that he was never called.

Even if he was called, it sure wasn’t by God.

He was probably called by someone else, the guy story made me laugh because that's the mentality among many people who are dreaming to become a pastor.

They are more interested in the money and dirty advantage they have over people. Someone like that can go at any length just to make his church grow all for nothing because in the long run, every evil he got involved in will be exposed.

It baffles me sometimes why people would go at any length just to satisfy their selfishness and greed.

As in ehn... he can go to any length at all to get what he wants and that's what makes it so scary, especially as he has no problems with such things. If he does manage to become a leader, I can only fear for the people that will be led by him.

WOW, this is funny and at the same time sad. The truth remains the life of this guy is what so many called "pastors" do in this present generation. Many of them don't care about their spiritual growth let alone their congregations. I'm so glad God exposed him, what an embarrassment it was for him, I don't even know the square I will say he went back to.

Hehe... he got placed in a spot he had never been before. So many fakes and quacks have taken over. Really terrifying!

Hahaha, that's good for him. Maybe from the experience he will gain from that he would repent .

So many fakes and quacks have taken over. Really terrifying!

Likeee, so so many. God have mercy on them.

Hehehe,, he was never called. Many people want to become a pastor because they think they are always rich but deep inside them, they are wolves in sheep´s clothing. How could someone, wanting to lead his flocks be agreeing to the stance that committing sin is not bad, because why? No matter how bad the temptation because it happens mostly to the men and women of God, they won´t fall because these are people who are ready to follow Christ without backing out. But your friend? It is obvious his reasons were to take advantage and commit sins. Can you imagine what happened now? I am not shocked by their type anymore because the Bible already said that we should beware of fake prophets who call the name of Jesus in vain.

Between, I love how you imprinted your name in your image.

A lot of things people don't know. Thank God we can't see into the hearts of people, because if we could we'll be disgusted by the amount of atrocities we'd find. We only have to tread cautiously, that's all we have to keep sane in this increasingly insane world.

Thanks for the image compliment. It's a feature of my phone's photo editor I've been taking advantage of.🤗

Only God can protect us because fake pastors is now many then the real ones, and you can't different because almost everyone of them speak in tongues which makes me wonder if it is real or not... Well I'm glad is secret was expose on time...

Omo... telling the difference gets harder and harder every day. I don't even know how one can do that now. Just so annoying!!!

Hehe talk about wolf in sheep clothing, sadly this is the case of so many so called man of god, not God and I've had experiences like the scenario above, imagine a Pastor taking people wives after giving false prophecies of their husband being ritualist, wonders shall never end, the reason why I say every individual should have an interpersonal relationship with God and not depend on their Pastor. A Pastor is human after all.

Indeed... people shouldn't depend on their pastors at all. The problems arise when they begin to see their pastors as gods themselves. Breaking that viewpoint can be really hard,, and almost anything the pastor says will be taken as gospel.

We gotta be very careful. When we see many things oine, we never can tell if it is real or fake. We don't know what to trust. I just see the online world as a place of lies and fun.
We should not take it seriously or take it to heart so that we are not going to think of things that will make us depressed

Online, anything is possible! Even pigs can fly if you put your mind to it. So we should always have it at the back of our minds that, things just might not be what they seem. It will save us a lot of heartbreak.

He believed that a little sin here and there was not bad, after all, the human body isn’t firewood.

Can you just imagine the mind of someone that aspires to lead the flock? Hmmm, he was never called indeed. His reputation is already ruined with his bad deeds already. Do not be surprised to see him doing wonders and miracle in another strange land after getting power from one Baba. That guy is desperate to be a pastor, the type that deceives the congregation. God has a lot to Judge honestly.

Omo... I won't be surprised indeed if that does happen. Already, he's desperate for this. And since God didn't call him, he'd have to call himself. By any mans necessary.

Ahhh! This kind man of God. Na waaa oh. But is not different from what we see today in our churches. There are false prophet everywhere. The Bible made it clear that at the end time we will have plenty of them.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

They are already plenty and overwhelming us! It's just tiring, honestly. And from the look of things, it'll only get worse.

What should I say!!!?? That kind of person has no fear of god. How do they do such kind of act in the name of god? I have heard some incidents happen in our country. I don't want to say many things about it. I am speechless.

I was just expecting to hear that this guy has multi-million girls. A sin is a sin no matter how we paint it. Also I have a similar experience with a guy too, though I was in a shock when i first heard it but a pulsed to connect some dots.

I hope he turns out good someday and not bring shame to the gospel he preach.

I do wish you a great weekend ahead

Soon, such people will preach their brand of gospel to their flock, even though they won't even follow that preaching.
I hope he turns out good as well.
