Being broke is not an obstacle

I would say am not rich yet but being broke has a different meaning to everyone, for some when their account balance gets down to a million, they are broke. For some people, it's below that or above while for some people, it is #5000 which is where I fall in.
The very first thing that I know I can't resist if I'm broke is flour, I mean anything made of flour and this doesn't mean puff puff or meat pie alone but down to pizza, spaghetti or indomie but having 5k in your account and buying pizza would just leave me zero money which is bad so I rather settle for the less expensive flour product which is like puff puff, doughnut, sausage roll and others, I'm so addicted to this to a point whereby I need to eat puff puff or fish roll early in the morning before any food and even if I eat normal food I still have to eat flour to make my day a complete one.

I remember one bad experience of mine with flour, it was early one morning after I left my parent house to another city entirely and just like everyday routine, I needed my puff puff, I had to trek 20 mins to the spot where they sell puff puff just because I was too broke to take a bike down there, to be honest all the money I had was #1500, then I went on and bought #400 puff puff and they sell one for #50. I noticed the puff puff absorbed a lot of groundnut oil but I had no choice but to buy it because there was no other spot and I was praying it wouldn't hurt but guess what, I purged the whole day after eating it and I made a promise that I won't eat puff puff for months but the next day I had to trek a different direction on search for a new puff puff spot.

Another thing I would buy with my last money is plantain, be it roasted, cooked or boiled. I just love it so much to the point whereby my friends would say I have been cursed to eat plantain, I would spend more on plantain than food whenever I go down to a canteen to get food and for the roasted one I don't pass where they sell roasted plantain without buying.

The last but not the least is cooked groundnut. Probably maybe because it is seasonal and it's also something they don't really sell in my neighbourhood, which might be the case why whenever I see it I buy it regardless of my pocket I can't really say but all I can tell is, once cooking groundnut is out, I'm buying.

These are just a few things I do regardless of my bank account because I enjoy eating them and even when people call me weird just because of my addiction to these things I don't find it offensive. Hope you enjoy reading this? It's all love from me to you.

Haha... I like how everything you mentioned has to do with food. Haha. That bit about Plantain is something I can relate to. Back then in school, there were people that sold roasted plantain with beans and some oil sauce. Haha. I always spend on that whenever I have some cash to spare. Hehe.
